Does anyone else...

Does anyone else...

have a best friend that's a guy???

My BF & I have been friends for 15 years & have always been best friends. I am haing him stand with my MOH as the Man of honor & I never gave this a second thought.

We are having my E-party this Sunday, and someone has mentioned that it might be weird to introduce him as the man of honor, and I should just tell people he is a GM.

Opinions?

You are the bride.... Whatever you say rules, the hell with what people think. People will see him stand up on your side of the church the day of the wedding...let them get used to the idea now....I say be upfront about it.

I think that is pretty cool.

I think you should introduce him as your Man of Honor. That's so great that you did that.

DH had his sister as his best man. Yeah it was a little odd, but his sister is his closest friend and that's who he really wanted to stand by him and his wedding day.

I say good for you.

Thanks. I didn't ever give it a second thought b/c we have known for years (since we were kids really) that this is how it was going to be for our weddings (he is getting married next year at the end if the year). People really can be stupid sometimes. I dunno why they would say this to me 2 days before the party

Hey Jenn, do you have any pics of the BP at the altar with you & DH????

I think it is great also. My FI's brother in law had his best friend who is a woman as his 'best man' as well. No one gave it a second thought either. :)
