I used theknot's budgeter and knew...every freakin' day...how much I was spending, how much more I needed, how much was due. It was nuts, but I would not have been able to afford my wedding and save accordingly had I not been faced with the huge amounts daily.

All I can say is this: IT'S SO WORTH IT! I would spend it all again in a heartbeat!

You're better off. I have an overly detailed spreadsheet of every single $$ I've spent (down to postage and even when I ordered samples of invites, etc.). It's INSANE how it all adds up

you too with the spreadsheet my FH laughs at me...I have a spreadsheet for our budget and for the guest list and each file has a whole different set of spreadsheets in it.

I've got the guest list one too!! It even has a column for 'Relationship to Bride and/or Groom.' I'm sick.

The worst thing is that I've just given up on a budget at this point. I'm just keeping track for posterity at this point

The only thing it does is that each time FH looks at it, he signs up for more overtime.

I am so over budget it's not even funny. (about $20k!!) And the bad part is I only kept track of all of the major vendors, not all the other crap I am doing - labels, gifts, all the small things. I think FI is ready to kill me. I stopped using the 'wedding account' and am using my own money. I have $30 to last me till Thursday. I am OUT of CONTROL....

Wedding acct I can never toch that one again. My acct has -$50 thank god I have the 'just incase money' because I need it, FH thinks I havent spent my money. If he knew Id be dead

Honestly, I'm not sure I want to know. We never set a budget, so we've kind of just chosen things that we like as we go along... I am so excited, but it is a little painful how much we will spend for one day.... BUT I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I used to add everything up, but then I came to a number that was much larger that I really wanted to spend and it made me sick. So I stopped counting. What I don't know....

Same here.....I told my FH from the beginning that it was going to run us between 20 and 30K. So far with the direction we're going, I'm estimating the expenses at 25K. However, I really don't want to know what we're really spending and keep track, otherwise I might end up with an ulcer!!!
