DOes anyone else share my desire to not have kids right away?
I feel like everyone around me wants kids really fast- anyone else looking to wait 4-5+ years before trying?

i am not looking to have kids right away either. i am willing to be the really cool aunt to all my friends kids though.

i dont want to have kids yet either... definitely want to wait, but i am not even sure if i want to have any at all...

ABSOLUTELY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am SOOOOO not into having kids ANYTIME soon.

5-6 yrs for me. I am only 26 so I am not even entertaining that idea! Glad my FH is not in any rush either. I hope that his grandparents are around when I do

Probably a few years, but I'm sure everyone will be asking where the babies are once the first year is up!

I'll be 25, and the absolute peak of my career...definitely holding off until AT LEAST 30.

I'm not sure...by the time I get married I will be 31, but I want some valuable alone time with my husband. I am thinking that maybe we will start about 3 years in. At this point in my life I just don't feel the urge yet..I am just too damn selfish!!
I have 23 nieces and nephews already and I am one of 10 children...so I am in no rush. I am a very cool aunt

same here want to build the marriage off first because that's what kid's reflect off of IMO.

We are going to wait about 3 years or so. Right now we're in a one bedroom apt and can't really afford much else...until we are more stable and making more money...we're not planning on any kids. Plus some alone time just to two of us will be nice.

Waiting about 2-3 years tops. We're getting married shortly before I turn 32 and he'll be 33. I figure 34 or 35 is when I would start but would cut the tubes after 37!!!!
Besides, I want to enjoy being married for a while. Because once kids are in the picture your life is no longer your own and getting settled into a new home is stress enough!!

2-3 years at least. I want to enjoy being married, travel and get all my selfishness out...lol

i want to wait a few years too, my career is too important right now and thats my priority, i wanna make sure when we have children i am financially and mentally ready to stay home.

YES! I am waiting a looooonnnng time! there is no rush. Maybe 7-10 years. before my ovaries shrivel up. A kid is forever! I am having enough of a reality check with the wedding... I don't need a kid too!

I will def not have kids for a really long time... my career is too important to me... its just not possible with traveling and contracts to have children while i am working
