DOes anyone else share my desire to not have kids right away?

I feel like everyone around me wants kids really fast- anyone else looking to wait 4-5+ years before trying?

We travel too much to have kids right away.

We need to escape!!

Thats a lot harder when you've got babies.

I plan on waiting a few years....I want to be a newleywed with my hubby for a little bit.

Amen to that! We both want a family, but no time soon. We are just gonna be starting teaching and I don't want to have to go out on maternity leave in my first years... THanks, I love kiddies, but I'm gonna wait a while. Finally use these darn degrees I have been working so hard to get!
So the parents will have to wait a while.. and get off the baby bandwagon.

See I used to think 5 years but I want to have 2 or 3 so I feel I should start sooner. Maybe 3 years? (God Willing! )

I am already 30 but just got a teaching job finally after years of waiting to teach on the Island. I am also going back to school for my masters so kids are not in the future..hopefully in 2 years or when I get tenured.
