at there wedding - like all the littile touches

fh is about to kill me - after going to the wedding last night i feel like 'i need to have' napkins

we cant even afford the people we are having and im worried about buying napkins

I especially feel that way when I watch platinum weddings! lol

I get so frustrated when I watch that... I think it's a bit of jealousy, though...... but c'mon. $128,000 for a necklace??? She had like over $300,000 of jewelry on!!!! I'm trying to budget $30,000 for the whole wedding!!!

But it's one of those love/hate things bc I CAN'T TURN IT OFF!!!!!

I keep wantng to add all these extras...its not that we cant even afford it either, but we should be saving for a house instead, not worrying about napkins or silly things like that.

I look at it this way...

I cannot afford anymore.

I just can't.

All the weddings I have been to, I only cared about food and drinks. The napkins, I just rested my drink on.

I don't have one favor.

I think the biggest thing people look at is the bride's dress and the place...honestly...

And I thought I was the only one....

Mine wants lobster, either at the cocktail hour or with the filet mignon entree.....it's getting all expensive with all the add-ons that he wants. Isn't it enough we are getting seafood, sushi and dessert cafe? Mind you, the only request I had was the dessert cafe, the other two were him.

I really think personalized napkins are so unnecessary. If you have the $$$ sure it's a nice touch. But in the big scheme of things....it's all about prioritizing.

Just think of all the things you'll rather send the money on.

I definitely felt like that leading up to the wedding, I wanted to add so much stuff the week of. And now that the wedding is over, I realized that there was stuff that I did add that I definitely didn't need. For instance, bathroom baskets, I got most of everything back.

Definitely know how you feel. Especially, when I see all of the girls on here getting things for their weddings that I don't have but end up wanting.

Sometimes, but then I try to bring myself back to reality. I'd rather have the money for a house or something else. I cut a lot out of my dj package when first I was planning on getting ALL these upgrades. Im not going to do a lot of things that are on here. I think they are great, but we just can't afford it.

FH is like that. Thats why he is forbidden to watch anything wedding related to me and I told his parents to butt out of the wedding b/c their ideas always end up costing us... my mom too.

I make a list of 100 things we could have did without...but since he was influenced, it happened anyway.

Rita, your wedding will be AMAZING regardless if you have napkins or not. Trust me. Besides, what do people generally do with napkins...yeahh... not worth it!
