DOES ANYONE FEEL SAD ABOUT...

Re: DOES ANYONE FEEL SAD ABOUT...

I felt this way... I cried the first time I left my parents house after we came back from our HM.
But after that it was easy to get used to.
Now we are living with my parents and I am looking forward to when it will be just the two of us again.

Re: DOES ANYONE FEEL SAD ABOUT...

FH and I just moved into our new apartment the week before easter. It is a basement apt at his grandmothers house, and is less than a mile from my parents house and from his mom's house. (a three minute drive to either one.) I do feel very sad, though. FH doesn't quite understand it, because he moved around a lot, but I lived in the same house, in the same bedroom, with my family, for the entire 22 years I have been on this planet... so this is a BIG change for me... I haven't cried yet, though. I still talk to them every day, and have seen them just about every day, which is more than I ever did when I lived there. Its funny how when you know you are leaving, you start to appreciate things you had been taking for granted for a LOOONG time. It feels very weird, but at the same time fun and exciting. I am very glad ew are close, though. If we were in a different town, I think I would be alot more upset!

Over the weekend gonzo23456 (Wendi) and I were talking about this and how it is a major change that can be emotional. I think it's perfectly normal to feel this way. I even said to Wendi that I didn't feel this way when I went away to school, I think because I always knew that I was coming home, but now, I won't be- so I guess that is getting to me more. But, on the other side of things, I am soo happy to move out and live with FH!

LEAVING HOME...I SPENT THE WEEK-END AT MY NEW APARTMENT, AND FELT SO SAD ....I KEEP THINKING ABOUT MY MOTHER BECAUSE SHE IS DIVORCED FROM MY DAD, AND SHE IS ALL BY HERSELF......

I GUESS IT IS SORT OF BITTER SWEET.....

DOES ANYONE FEEL THE SAME????

Q

I'm really nervous about this too! My parents are divorced too and my bro moved out years ago so for a long time it has been just me and my mom. FH and I are planning to move w/in the next few weeks and its definitely bitter sweet. My mom gets on my nerves sometimes but we are still very close. I just know that moving out will mean that we'd appreciate the time we have together and we'll probably argue less!

i felt the same thing. i was actually teary eyed when i was packing up my stuff from my parents house. DH would come and pick everything up little by little as the days got closer to the wedding and as the room got emptier and emptier, i got sadder and sadder. i never lived away from home...i was a CW Post commuter and lived at home our entire engagement.

you get used to it. 10 months later, i couldnt imagine NOT living with DH! never ending sleepover parties!!!

Oh my gosh I'm so glad I'm not alone! I've been so sad lately while thinking about leaving. When we were registering, I wasn't having any fun because I was just too sad. Its even worse because my daughter has lived at my house since she was born in August of '05. I feel awful because my parents aren't only losing me, they'll be losing their granddaughter, too.

Honestly, we stat at FH's house for half of the week & I'm just fine so I know I'll survive, and it'll be nice not living back & forth between 2 places anymore. Plus, my mom watches our daughter while I go to school, so I'll see my family at least five times a week. I still cry when I think about leaving, though.

I agree - I think the actual moving out part will be hard... (Not to mention daunting! I've aquired alot of crap over the years lol)... Seeing my room empty will be a little shocking... I've lived with my family my whole life... It's sad to leave them... But I guess it's just natural... I'll have to get used to the change...

But I'm sure my younger brother can't wait to get rid of me so he can have my room lol... (At least my moving out will make someone happy lol)

I feel sad too...but mostly about not seeing my dog every day! I told my mom I'll come visit him a few times a week...she rolled her eyes.
