The BRAT Diet: Bananas, Rice, Apples & Tea
These are suposedly binding foods, the rice and bananas work for me, Apples & tea- not so much.

There are a few meds you can get now that can help depending on your symtoms. Bentyl works for me, I'm also taking Carafate- that's my 'get out of jail free' pill. I can't eat certain foods, but if I take one of those pills, and drink 2 glasses of water I'm usually okay. You should see a gastro. You don't have to suffer.

It's so wonderful to know that I am not the only one.. I get so nervous as well.. when FH and I first started dating, I was always so sick because I was so nervous.. but he was always by my side and he was so good with it.. I tell him that if he was able to get through that with me, I knew he was the one.. I am so nervous about my wedding day.. I have nightmares of getting sick walking down the aisle, on the altar, coming into the reception.. it's horrible..

I do and so does fh I have a rx fo librax. i also take prilosec for ulcers, it sucks. The thing with the librax is it makes you tired and no drinking with it. i will probably take some pepto the morning of just to be safe. you would think i would lose weight.

My stomach also goes crazy. I think I have IBS also. Any amount of stress, and some foods cause me to run to the bathroom. I am very afraid of it happening on my wedding day. I will be taking immodium and pepto bismol that day, Better safe than sorry! I don't want to have any issues on the happiest day of my life! i am happy to see so many responses. It is good to know you are not alone. IBS can be embarassing. It is something I don't share with a lot of people because people who don't suffer just don't seem to understand(with the exception of my darling fh who is great despite the fact he can't relate!) You should join our tummy support group on NWR We will get each other through this, and hopefully by the time our wedding days come around we will be too busy being happy to get sick!

I don't know what we have, but I'm always in the bathroom. Usually, after I eat I have to go to the bathroom. FH laughs at me, but when he gets nervous, he's in the bathroom too. I'll probably have to swallow a pack of immodium ad the week before. Good luck to us all.

Re: Does anyone get a nervous stomach??

Funny ... I posted about this a few weeks ago and dead silence. Now, it looks like everyone is out of the closet, so to speak. I have it too only sometimes I get so nervous that I can't go to the bathroom. Either I am unable to go or can't stop going. I haven't gone to a doc lately bc I'm concerned they'll want to do a colonoscopy. I don't want one, and certainly don't want one before the wedding.

I'm getting married in a few weeks. My plan is as follows: 2 weeks before the wedding, there will be no Chinese Food or Tomoto Sauce, or anything else harsh that makes you retain water. I will eat salads during the day for lunch, burgers or chicken for dinner.

I'm one of those odd people where milk products actually settles my stomache, so day of I will probably have light carbs and yogurt.

The key, I hope, is figuring out what works for you and sticking too it leading up to the wedding.
