I think what the jeweler is telling you is that they cannot size a particular ring that they already had (I wear a 4 1/2 and I was told that about certain rings too). You should be able to order a custom ring in your size. If it is going to contain diamonds, you might want to think about ordering it 1/4 to 1/2 size bigger and get the tiffany balls in it so if you gain weight or get pregnant you can still wear it. They'll just take them out and add them back when you lose the weight.

I am a size 4 and I got 8 princess cut diamond on mine. I would get a econd opinion on that.
I agree. I'm a 3 3/4. Get the band made for you instead of trying to work with an existing diamond band. That should help with the concerns they have.

We first went to Zales and then to Bailey, Banks, and Biddle and they both said the same thing.
They are owned by the same company! The man in Zales told me that when we got my E-ring.
So count that as 1 opinion, and get a second & third opinion!

I wear around a 3 also (3.25 actually), and although I didn't get diamonds, I did find that I had to pay a little extra because the ring I had to come from a 'special' mold...pretty stupid if you ask me, considering that alot less metal is going into it! But anyway...I'm assuming that you're having trouble with the particular ring you're looking it because the manufacturer doesn't make it in a size 3 (many start at 4), and the jewler is concerned about how to make it smaller without losing the diamonds.
That link to Blue Nile shows some nice stuff, and it's cool that they have the small sizes. At least you know that you always have that to fall back on, but in the meantime, you might want to try some other jewlers to find someone who works with manufacturers who either make the small sizes as stock, or are able to make a custom size for you.
Thanks! This is exactly the problem, and they also said even if they do try to make it smaller it would cost more! That seems crazy to me too!! It's so frustrating!

I am a 4.25. The jeweler has told me this. This was the smallest they could do for me. So they but balls on the inside of my ring to keep it from sliding around which has helped but if I am in air condition it still slides.

Re: Does anyone have a really small ring size?
i went to the jeweler fh got my e-ring and the guy will definitely make a new mold for me...i am a 3 3/4 and he didn't even blink an eye when i told him what i wanted...at first i said only the top half, with 15 point diamonds...i tried a ring with 20 points, and it was way too big for my finger...the ring was not molding my finger well...so we tried 10 points and it was too small...so i am going back to him next week and he is getting 15 points for me to see if i like the way it looks and then he will make a wax mold of the type of setting i want, put the diamonds on it to see how my custom ring is going to look
i think now i want to go with a full blown eternity band and he has no problem with it
a good jeweler will be able to accomodate your needs either via smaller diamonds or less diamonds on the band to fit your small finger size

I think you should visit the diamond district in Manhattan - the jewelers there make special order rings all the time and it might be cheaper than visiting a chain store. JMO. Good Luck!
