First, stop stressing over it. You will find out and no matter what, it doesn't matter about the past, although it's good to tell the doctor this.
I was 17 years old when diagnosed with Crohns. I hope you don't have this, but if you do, don't panic. It's a lot like IBS except it can cause permanent damage to your intestines.
I had the symptoms for a few years before I was diagnosed. Thought it was a nervous stomach, though soda was making my belly hurt..etc..
Finally a diagnosis. Being the rebellious 17 year old I was, I ignored the docs and didn't take my meds. I actually flushed them!
Lived with pain and the big D for a long time until 3 years ago when I had a flare and ended up in the hospital. FUN!
Like I said, I hope you don't have this, but it's good to get checked out. Don't freak about it, you will get some answers and some relief.

Didn't mean to get you upset. I just think it's good to get checked out so whatever it is you got it under control.
Really, it will be fine.

Re: Does anyone have any stomach problems?
me! I should really go see a doctor, but I HATE doctors.
I will go through weeks where I am fine, then I will eat something and trigger it and then I can't eat anything w/o having extreme stomach pain and other less pleasant symptoms for a week or more. Pretty much dairy, greasy foods, spicy foods, acidy foods (tomato sauce, coffee), caffeine all cause problems for my stomach (the best foods ever ). My problem is that I will be doing better and get tempted by those trigger foods - then I regret it if I give in!

Get it checked out! Why suffer needlessly?...life is too hard as it is.

I have an awful stomach - IBS and I'm severely lactose intolerant.
oooh - me too!
I eat very clean for that reason! I just know what to avoid - I am anti-medication... being vegan helps but I can't eat any overly processed food either!
Lots of ginger!
