Does anyone know a good December RH site? and price?

Does anyone know a good December RH site? and price?

My fiance and I are living in Los Angeles and trying to plan our wedding back in NY.

I am a teacher so in order to have some time off from school and go on my honeymoon, Christmas time seems like it will work the best.
Summer prices are just out of our league.

Any advice would be helpful, I've never been to a wedding in December but the more I think about it, the more I like the idea, now it just has to come to life. I will be back in NY in 2 weeks to begin my search. Thank you for anything!

I am getting married at the Fox Hollow in Feb - they have fire places in every reception room and it is decorated beautifully for winter.....

We loved the coziness of it for a winter wedding. And they have an indoor photo studio for pics - one thing to warn you about, a few of the places did not have anywhere indoors to do photos, one place said we could just in the front lobby (which was tiny, and all our guests would be there too).

you may want to check out tall grass country club. its in suffolk county. shoreham ny. its a beautiful hall! and the price year round is great.

Also Stewart Manor country club (nassau county) is very resonably priced year round.

We are getting married in December at Danfords on the Sound in Port Jefferson in Suffolk Co. We are getting an incredible deal on price, more food that we will be able to eat and of course, open bar all five hours. They decorate the entire hotel and building for Christmas and there is lots to do in the village to boot.

Most of our guests are coming from off of LI so need lodging and Danfords has the hotel with a good rate that makes it so easy for everyone. FM me if you'd like more info.

I friend of mine was just telline me she got married between Christmas and New Years at Carlyle on the Green in Bethpage. It's usually one of the most expensive halls, but because it was winter and during that week, she said they cut their price in half. She also didn't have alcohol though. I'd check into that though, it's gorgeous.

Milleridge Inn/Cottage was our second choice because of how it was decorated for the holidays (and it was SUPER reasonable, price-wise.)

Flowerfield in St. James looks SO beautiful in Dec. as well..you can check out pics in my album

I'm a Crest Hollow bride and I went for a meeting when they were decorated for the holidays this past season and I must say it was really pretty. The trees outside were all light up. THey had gorgeous pointsettas inside. They also have extremely good prices off season--definitely check them out!

Fox Hollow is PERFECT for a winter wedding.
We chose them because their grounds are great and the place is beautiful in the spring BUT they are also soo cozy and have a great 'English Forest Estate' kind of feel so if it snows on our wedding day it will be amazing too.

Their prices for late march are wonderful so their december prices are probably great too.

one of the reasons we picked Jericho Terrace for February was because it had a lot of nice places inside to take pictures - you can never be sure what kind of cold weather you will get in the winter, so it was important for us to find a place with nice indoor settings. JT has a fireplace, huge lobby, and they have nice decor at christmas time (big tree!). the outside is also beautiful, so you are covered if you have nice temps too! you should definitely check that one out too. good luck!

I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Chateau La Mer! They are truly fantastic. Their rooms are beautiful, the staff is impecable, their prices are unbeatable and their food is incredible! My FH and I were hesitant at first to book b/c we just simply could not believe a place this beautiful could be SO affordable. Then we went to the food tasting and there was no question it was the right place. My FFIL is very critical with food and he LOVED it. On top of it the view is incredible right on the great south bay overlooking the water. I know they do the place up for Christmas time as well. The staff really makes you feel like family and are so easy to work with. I can't say enough about them. A lot of girls have gotten married there on LIW so if you do a search under the Brides review for CLM you get a ton of stuff. In particular, I recommend checking out CaMacho's review. She has tons of pics and its really thorough. Also, check out their website and FM if you have any other questions. I'd be happy to share! Good Luck!!

where are your guests coming from? Do you prefer nassau? Suffolk? What is your price range? What are things that are a 'must have'

East Wind Estate is gorgeous in the winter-
I had a summer wedding- but went to see it in the winter and it was decorated for the holidays so beautifully!

Also, watermill is very nice in the winter

Two more 'unusual' places that decorate are the Vanderbuilt Museum in Oakdale (there are two, this one is less pricey) and The Bourne Mansion. Both are stunning and tastefully decorated. Lessings is the caterer for both. Good Luck!
