I heard about it this morning on Fox 5....the news said that the police were undercover, and the suspects got them in a car and took off...the undercover police car lost them in the traffic somwhere, and when the undercover guys came to an clearing in the road, they saw the 2 police officers laying on the ground, shot in the head at point blank range. So horrible. There is a $40,000 reward if anyone knows where the killers are.

They were two undercover detectives involved in a buy and bust sting re guns. THey were involved in the procuring of illegal guns to get them off the street. They were executed at point blank range by some #@$%^& f*** who was born 1984, yes this perp is 18 years old. The Post insinuated that the perps had figured out that the guys were undercover and had spotted the tail of the officers following them. The cops in the car (the ones who were murdered) gave off a code word that let the guys shadowing them (the other cops there to protect the undercover ones) know they had been spotted, so they had to drop the tail. Withint like 2 minsutes, the guys in the car were murdered. They never even had a chance to draw their weapons.
THis blight on society murdered two hard working men with families. Two men who DESERVE to live, not like this $%^&*

I have VERY strong feelings about cop-killers, for obvious reasons.

I hope to god they catch those little creeps! Doesn't new york have a law that if your on trial for killing a cop the DA is automatically going for the death penalty?

This BETTER be a death penalty case. I also heard that the tailing cops lost communication with the undercovers on the equipment. I am not sure which of these stories is correct. If they did lose the bug, than they really need to look into some better equipment. From what I understand, their equipment for things like that are always breaking down, or causing problems, and that is unacceptable.
They had 5 kids between these two officers. We all should say a prayer for their widows and their children that lost their fathers in such a brutal way.

I agree with all of you about this a$$hole! Last night as my DH was leaving for work the news repoted that they died and I was soo upset and crying. It makes that moment that my DH walks out the door every night even harder to bear. All last night I was thinking about their poor families and how a woman deals with that loss. I would be unconsolable if my brave husband was shot execution style by some fu**ing piece of society's garbage. It makes me so mad! I was also so mad this morning when the first story on NY1 was about how there was an agreement with the broadway crap...I mean really, this cities priorities are so ****ed up! Maybe now the mayor will stop his *****ing about laying off cops and closing firehouses and concentrate on better protecting these brave lives.

They caught 3 of them, including the piece of garbage born in 1984 who should never have even been a twinkle in his daddy's eye.
Here come the liberals saying 'well he was a foster child, and the city failed him, and the system failed him, and no one loved him blah blah blah' Just watch. They always do. Because this a$$hole's worthless life is more important than that of the cops whose lives he took.
And mind you - the ONLY time this city ever rallies around the police department is when one of them dies. Then the media runs pictures of sobbing widows clutching flags, being supported by their dead husband's friends, children who look like deer caught in the headlights...
and the other 364 days of the year they demean them, blast them, accuse them, spy on them, point fingers at them, and LOVE when they get in trouble and then they run the story for TWO WEEKS. and on top of it all, this city WON'T EVEN PAY THEM A LIVING WAGE!!! TO TAKE THE RISKS THEY DO!

I am a wife of a cop too. My husband was at work at the time it was on the news and I cringed because at first they said Long Island and then corrected themselves and said Staten Island. I myself kept thinking of the poor family getting notified. It is so so so sad. ![]()
