Michelle - You already know how I feel about our friend Mikey and lay off's and raises, etc.
They BETTER go for the death penalty. I don't care how bad of a life someone has, there is no excusr for that. I am sure there are plenty of other people out there who had worse lives and do not do the things this guy is out there doing. It is a waste of life to keep him around. FRY HIM!!

FI took the policemens exam and got a 95 on the exam. Though I am very proud of him of his score I am so glad he isnt a cop (no offense to all you police wives and future wives)
He does however work in JFK and that worries me just as much. He has to search baggages and I just worry that one day he'll be searching a bag and it blows up in his face. He isnt a police officer, but I worry just as much as police wives and future wives because of what he has to do in the airport.
When I heard that story about the 2 cops I started to cry. I heard they were shot and I prayed they would come through. When I heard they passed it just annoyed me so much that these 2 hard working men doing what they love to do was taken. 2 more men defending our city gone and this man who shot them still walks around.
The story just makes me so mad.

I am not going to debate the facts of the case since none of us really know what is going on yet. But I will say that the Media will love the window photos, the photos of the kid's crying etc... And I think that is awful. And what is worse, people all over the City will buy the paper to look at those photos. Since we have NO idea if the guys they picked up are guilty just yet perhaps we should wait to make judgements about their lives. I will also say that enviroment does help to create the people that we become. I am NOT saying, again NOT saying, that killing is right, no matter what happened to you in your life. All I am saying that it our society makes it too easy for children to be thrown to the streets. The Foster System is a mess! Look at how many children died all because the Foster System never followed up on a neighbor or teacher's phone call. When are people going to start trying to solve the problem instead of just waiting till the worst happens.

I agree that we need to begin working on the problems to try and avoid things like this but unfortunately, there is no money to do this b/c we are busy paying for maniacs like these guys to have a wonderful and educated jail life. No matter what your childhood was like when you commit a crime you must be punished for it and not sent to a resort where you are allowed to live when you prevented that for someone else. Our tax dollars are used to educate prisoners instead of children and until that is changed this will continue to happen.

Bravo and thank you Felicia. I refuse, absolutely REFUSE to accept anymore sob stories for these murderers. And I have enough faith in the NYPD's ability to sniff scum like this out to pretty much believe the story. And they knew who they wanted (suspect-wise) because the cops shadowing the undercover cops knew who they were supposed to meet with and actually saw the guy in the car with the cops. He was a known perp.
He actually dragged their bodies out of their car, left them in the road and took off in the car.

You're not being rude Michelle. Only knee-jerk liberal New York won't put ANYONE to death, not even cop-killers.
In Texas, the murder of a police officer is an automatic capital offense resulting only in either a death sentence or life in prison without parole. They're doing something right down there.

Thrilled, I love what you wrote and feel like printing it out to read whenever I feel this way! As far as this animal's upbringing, I could give a ****ing **** about him. I don't care if he grew up in poverty being beaten violently everday of his life forced to eat dog cra% to stay alive. The fact is that he killed 2 men trying to do a job that gets absolutely no respect, and dragged their bodies out of their car and left them in the street like some kind of road kill. There is absolutely NO EXCUSE for that kind of behavior. He deserves to be killed for his actions, no questions asked. What are we supossed to do, have a debate on every criminal's upbringing to decide on their punishment? Unacceptable. Everyone eill be claiming a 'tough childhood.' People make decisions and they have to be responsible for those decisions. Please it's not like the cops shot at him and he didn't have time to think about what he was doing, he ASSASINATED them for Godsake. Point blank rang in the back of the freaking head....there's no debating this!!

Michelle and Shannon, I agree with you both whole heartedly. There are 2 women out there who at the slightest turn of events could have been one of us (not the 3 of us, 'us' meaning the LIW community).
Those men, regardless of their circumstances took 2 lives and shattered 7 more. They deserve no mercy.

I think it is awful and horrific that these men were killed. In fact, I think it is very sad that these women and children no longer have their husbands/fathers. I will forever say that I do not judge based on the newspaper stories. I KNOW how facts are twisted and turned by the media. I am not saying these men are or are not guilty. I have a lot of faith in our police and justice system. I would just like it have more than 1 day to work before I take someone's life. Let's remember that there have been men put to death who were proven to be innocent years later. I am NOT a die-hard liberal either. I am just a person who doesn't think I can convict and kill someone because I watched the nightly news.

those guys should be hung by their - you know whats- who cares if they were born in a dumpster and were moved from house to house they are b a s t a r d s who don't even deserve a trial-- they have ZERO respect for human life so why should anyone care for theirs?
i feel beyond strong about this as well as my dad was hurt in the line of duty (not in the city and not shot thank GOD but forced to retire as a result) & 4 of my cousins are NYC cops and i would be beside myself if these were my family members. I agree completely with THRILLED & MISTYEYED.

Personally I think that the USA should make anyone who is not working a steady job or in college over the age 18 - 24 go into the military.
Hence, little **** wouldnt be here to knock up girls, they would have something to do and would actually be productive.
