does anyone know of a gym that does signle month membership?
I want to join a gym but don't want to get stuck with an 85 year membership since my lazy butt will probably stop going in 4 months. But I also need to drop weight and need the help of a gym.
Are there any gyms that offer a membership on a month to month basis?

I am pretty sure that Lucille Roberts does month to month and I know in the summer they do a 3 month summer only membership

sweet I will have to call I checked there site and it only says they are offering $20 down $13 a month for 24 months when you join with a friend.

If you live in Huntington or near it, there is a small gym I go to called TONL Fitness (stands for Turn Over a New Leaf). It doesn't have classes or a pool or any of that - it's small but has treadmills, ellipticals, weight machines, free weights, a stairclimber and ab mats / products. I've never had to wait for a treadmill, it's never crowded. Nice place. They offer month to month memberships for significantly less than most gyms.

I think most gyms offer month to month. You just have to ask about it. The gym will usually charge more because you don't have a contract but sometimes it is definitely worth it because you are not stuck paying if you don't go. I feel like I have been a member of every gym is Suffolk County...lol and all the gyms have offered month to month. HTH

Try Xtreme Gym in Bellmore 516-826-3000 I pay per month and was locked in for a year. But I think you can just pay per month.

I didn't know all that, I joined here 3 years ago and pay 20$ a month for the black card and unlimited tanning. I get to have guests as often as I want to as well.

Since there is a LR right near my house I called and am going to go tonight to find out more. They really vague on the phone about price.....could run $13-$49 a month.

I pay 10 dollars a month here too...and I only had to pay a one time startup fee of 20 dollars...
