FINAL EPISODE REVIEW: 'I AM TORN'

Following a fireworks display and emotional house meeting to discuss their 10-week shared journey of discovery, the Amish revealed their intentions to either stay in 'the outside world' or return to their spiritually devout, rural communities, while the city participants announced their future plans, on the season finale of AMISH IN THE CITY.

AMISH PARTICIPANTS

After receiving news that he passed his GED high-school equivalency exam with flying colors, Jonas, an Amish construction worker from Iowa, wants to go to college with hopes of building a career.

Inspired by this experience, Miriam, an Amish waitress and hotel maid from Ohio, wants to continue to explore the opportunities presented in the outside world and does not plan on going back to the Amish at this time.

More 'confident' and assured with his path in life, Mose, an Amish construction worker and former teacher from Wisconsin, does not plan on returning to the Amish at this time, but does want to leave city life behind and return to the country, explaining that he 'got the itch out of my feet for awhile.'

Randy, an Amish construction worker from Indiana, says he will return to his small town to work in construction and doesn't presently plan on going back to the Amish, but adds that he could go back if he meets an Amish girl.

Feeling 'stronger' after this experience, Ruth, an Amish factory worker from Ohio, wants to pursue more education, such as nursing school or college. While she does not plan on returning to the Amish, she admits that she would follow her boyfriend Marvin if he decides to go back to the community because she's so in love with him.

CITY PARTICIPANTS

Ever the free spirit, Ariel, a waitress from Los Angeles, plans on remaining friends with romantic interest Nick and feels that her time in the house with the Amish was a 'beautiful experience.'

Inspired by his Amish roommates' search for knowledge, Kevan, a sales rep from Las Vegas, hopes to attend law school and remain friends with his roommates.

With her new Golden Retriever puppy Harley, which she got in Amish country, Meagan, a freelance fashion stylist from Chicago, intends to focus on pursuing her career in fashion in Los Angeles.

After performing on stage in recent weeks and crafting an original song with Mose, Nick, a busboy/musician from Boston, a busboy/musician from Boston, is set on continuing his pursuit of a music career in Los Angeles.

Reese, a club promoter originally from Hattiesburg, Miss, wants to pursue a career in the arts and hopes his experience in the house will help him achieve his future goals.

Grateful for the opportunity to meet people outside her community, Whitney, a college student from Los Angeles, has decided to attend nursing school this fall.

PARTING GIFTS

In their final days, the group shared a sailing adventure on the Pacific, and a night out on Hollywood's Sunset strip, where Nick missed an opportunity by being rude to a musical performance booker at a club. Meanwhile, Mose set up his own 'tube mail' and sent his fellow roommates on a scavenger hunt for his handmade going-away presents, including a ship in a bottle and a variety of tailored games.

ditto and ditto! i thought mose would go back! i bet he will.... and i thought MAYBE ruth. Randy too i was insure of. The rest i knew would stay, especially the blonde and jonas. i HATED reese, and meagan, and ariel and nick!!! ariel called eggs chicken abortions?!! and she pet the fish they caught! i love animals, i think thats obvious, but c'mon! i hope they replay it. i REALLY wanna see it. except i hate listeing to mose. hes so monotone

DH and I missed the finale too. I can't believe that none of the Amish went back, especially Mose!

The city kids were so obnoxious...
