Does anyone not like there engagement ring

At first I loved my ering!!! and Its not really small so I can't complain about that. I just get really bored of things easily. At first I bought a wedding band that exactly matched my ering but it just didnt make me happy.

After a 2 year engagement I can honestly say I got really bored/sick of my Ering!!!

So I went and got a nice eternity band that did not go with my Ering setting at all. I don't wear my Ering at all anymore, just my wedding band. My mom yells at me she thinks its really mean but I don't care. I love my wedding band sooo much and it dosen't really bother my DH.

I love my e-ring FH and I picked it out together and he went above my expectations! I made sure my w-ring matched it perfectly so I could wear both for ever.

I have to say that I love my engagement ring. I know that FH spent more than he could afford, but he did it for me and I'll never forget that. We went cheaper on the wedding bands. But I do know women that were never crazy about their e-rings.

I know personally that you feel bad enough about having these kinds of feelings and if she wanted to hear how much other people love their engagements rings and will wear then forever and ever she would have asked ' Does anyone else love their engagement ring'

i love my ering.. at first i was like this is okay.. but too big -- i know a weird complaint.. its not that big its just that i'm young so i felt it overpowered my hand.. but now i love it and wouldnt have it any other way. (its 5 stones and the center stone is like 1.3 or 1.2? i dont really pay attention so i dont know)

my wedding band on the other hand.. i dont like it. it was the matching one to my ering but i just hate it.. i dont like looking at it.. and i'll flip it around just so i can see my ering better.. but i'm going to give it some time and if i still hate it in a few months we're gonna change it lol

i love my e-ring, but like alibali said i think it's a bit too big. (no, it's not that big, but i'm just not a jewelry person.)

my wedding band is a very plain one that doesn't go with my e-ring. FH picked them, and to me it's more important to match him than the e-ring.

therefore, i will probably just wear my e-ring occasionally after we get married, or i'll wear it on my right hand. i think it's perfect fine as long as your DH is ok with it!

exactly. if everyone wants to say how much they love their ring,please start a different thread. this is for people who are not happy with the ring they received. personally. i really wish my ring was bigger, the center stone is only half a carat. and everyone else i know has at least a carat or more. i know i sound really shallow. maybe on our 5th anniversary or something we can upgrade the stone.

I really didn't like mine at first at all. Hated the setting (too low) hated the way it sat on my finger...I couldg on and on. I did eventually come around and because of the sentimental reason behind it decided not to change it. If anything, I'll ugrade for our 10 year anniversary. About the band, because I had disdain for my ring, I ended up going with a band I always loved and didn't care that it doesn't match my ring. If anything, I can wear the band alone and the ring can stay home or on my right hand...I'll put them together if I'm going out with my FH. OK...so here are pics. I say, sorry that you dislike your ering (it happens to most of us) and I hope you can love it as time passes (like I have).

I was too taken aback that when this poster voiced her concern for her ring, some people starting writing how much they loved theirs.

I'm sorry..its RUDE. How would it go over if someone said 'i can't afford the place i want to get married at , i'm so upset' and people wrote back 'i just booked the place i love even though its so expensive!'.

It makes the person posting feel badly. Just think a little before you reply. Think about how you'll make the other person feel. This isn't about giving an honest review of a reception hall, or telling someone you don't like jewelry they picked if they ask for honest opinions....this situation turned into making someone else feel badly, whether it was intentional or not!

And to the original poster...its ok :) I've had friends that weren't in love with their ring...two things happened: they either grew to love it, or they upgraded when the time was right. Talk about it with your FH in a tactful manner and think about adding things that would enhance the ring.
