heck yeah!!! but now i ask for non-candy items in the easter basket - can't afford the extra calories!!! she always puts a couple of nice house-things in it - holiday guest towel, garden decoration, etc.

I don't get them from mom. I bought the Easter dye coloring kit myself and planned on decorating them over the weekend. I just think it will be fun. Last year, I threw those plastic colored eggs all over the front lawn as a surprise.My FH (now my hubby) thought it was funny.

I do but my basket has been cut in half because she also gives one to FI. I am not appreciative of that.
But its ok, during Christmas I get more gifts. Though he gets bigger boxes which always annoys me and I have to be reminded his clothes are bigger so his boxes are bigger

I still get Easter baskets from mom but I think my mom is doing something a little different this year - involving Winnie the Pooh!
I don't have time to dye eggs because I have taken over making the homemade chocolate bunnies and lollipops and making Easter baskets for friends and family.

Oh, I wish!!! My 7 brothers and sisters made fun of me b/c I got a basket until my late 20's!! Jealous babies!!!
DH would do it for me if I *really* wanted it!! I can't wait to make one next year for our Peanut!!

I love my baskets too...my mom still goes as far as hiding our easter baskets, so my 2 brothers (ages 22 and 27) and me (age 25) go around the house looking for it....I love my easter baskets!!
my mom and I Dye easter eggs together..>FH is not alowed because he dips them into all colors and tehy turn out BROWN...UUGh....so he is not allowed anymore!
A new thing in my family since all the :'kids' are now 'adults' is we all bring one thing that will fit into a big egg and we each hide on and we each get one..and then we all put money in grandmas silver egg and she hides it and whoever gets it, gets the cash!!!

We still do it in my house - my dad is like a big kid! He gets so excited, its hysterical. Since my brother and I grew up we now hide the eggs for my parents to find - its hilarious.
Chippa will love this one - a few years back we put an egg in the ferret's cage and that was the one egg my parents wouldn't get. You see, we had this killer ferret who bit everyone. We wanted to see how far mom and dad were willing to go to find all the eggs
Our annual tradition is the egg cracking contest. Everyone picks an egg and you take the wider side of the egg and hit it against the other family member's egg. If your's cracks you lose and the winner plays the next family member. Its stupid but we get a kick out of it.
My FH thinks we're crazy.

I get an easter basket until I am married, so this will be my last year
Although my brother is married for almost three years and he has two kids and he still gets one.

I do too. Hubby even makes me a bsaket. Now we color egss at my in laws. It is so much FUN!!!! We always have a contest on who has the best egg. Huuby always insists his is the best

I do. My baskets contain no candy though, and I like it that way.
Until the spring before I got married, my mom used to hide plastic eggs with money in them. 8 had $1, 2 had $5, 1 had $10, and 1 had $20, and we used to have an egg hunt. The year she stopped I was so sad, not because of the money, but because of the tradition.

My mom has been getting us Perugina Eggs since we were teeny tiny...and the tradition continues...
Johns cousins go all out. (kids of all ages) have easter egg hunts in the yard, then they have the 'strongest egg wins' contest with their hard boiled eggs...
