I recently heard that you can submit your gym membership to your insurance company. The insurance company will reimburse you up to a certain amount. Anyone do this?

My insurance company only reimburses for certain gyms....and of course NYSC is not reimbursable!

I was going to do it through Global Fit...they would pay a certain amount of the gym memebership...it was winding up to be less than what I was paying...The only thing is that your employer has to be a participant...(I believe thats how it worked)...of course most of the bigger gyms (ie NYSC, Lucille etc...) didn't participate in it...not sure if you were referring to this...

Check with your insurance company, not all have this policy. But, most will have an affiliation with Global Fit or something like it where you can get discounted memberships to certain gyms.
I can tell you that Oxford Freedom does have the reimbursement ($100/6 months, must go 50 times) but that Health Net does not (I recently switched over to Oxford).
