Does anyone Wax???????

I wanna get my legs and my hoo hoo Waxed..anyone know of a good place???? it could be either in queens or the city? i work and live in both!!!

HOWEVER i will NOT go to J. Sisters in NYC!!! a few years ago i went there for a brazilian and they tore my sheit up!!!!! Couldnt walk straight or wear jeans for over a week!!! it was awful!!! but i think4 years is sufficient time to let myself and my BITS get over the trauma!

i am also interested in some info on this topic. i would like to get my 'hoo hoo Waxed' but am petrified that its going to hurt.

Me too!! i hate pain!

i cry when i get my lip waxed. i have 0 tolerance for pain.

I definitely recommend Completely Bare--there are a few locations around NYC--been to both the Fifth Ave location and Madison Avenue on UES.

They are very gentle and use great wax---I waxed for years (before laser) and could tolerate their waxes over any other places.

My personals and I have come to the conclusion that no hot wax will be going near them anytime soon. My anoos wouldn't be happy either.

I prefer a big ol bush

I go to a chick on Myrtle Ave in Glendale. She does the who who for like $25 and the legs for like $40 or $50... I never had a problem or a breakout or anything going to her.

Ditto with the Elizabeth Arden Red Door (Long Island locations are good too). Or Completely Bare (in NYC if you are willing to travel)...there are several locations and they are great; they also do laser if you want to pay extra for the long haul benefit. At these 2 places, you will pay a more but they do this day in/day out and are experts and its very sanitary. A brazilian type at these places is typically $70 up.

Also, whereever you go, ask what type of wax they use. There is peel wax (which is thicker and harder) and strip wax (thinner that the tech then puts a fabric strip over and rips off). I'm a huge advocate for peel wax... its much more gentle and hurts less. Also, double check that the place you go to use a clean applicator EACH time they take new wax to you (no double dipping = no infection).

Go to Arpis on Union. Arpi is awesome! She did my hoo hoo wax until I decided on the laser. She did SUCH a good job and she's not expensive! J. Sisters charged $75 and she charges $40 I think!

Avalon Salon and Spa in the city, West Village. Agata is a magician! Quick and as painless as is possible for this type of thing, AND they aren't very expensive!!!!

Arpi does it! I got a September special, pits and hoo hoo for $750. I paid in full for the special so I could start at a later date.
