My personals and I have come to the conclusion that no hot wax will be going near them anytime soon. My anoos wouldn't be happy either.

I prefer a big ol bush

im want to do it for my bpics and the wedding ... but imascared

i was TERRIFIED the first time I did it, and now its not a big deal at all and the clean feeling is soooo worth it!

also, find someone who does it FAST (like Agata), pop two advil beforehand, chew gum during and you'll be fine i swear.

my friends go to a place in Howard Beach... and the first time one of them went she had a terrible reaction/experience... she had ingrown hairs and stuff from it... and she went bananas...

So I went to Bliss Spa a few months ago based on the recommendation from a few girls. It was my first time getting my lady area waxed. It really wasn't bad. They are pretty quick and they use some certain type of wax. I was very happy with my experience and would definitely recommend them. It was so worth the trip into the city.

It's really not bad at all. My girl does it really quick though. The first time I ever had it done, I was terrified, so I had 3 glasses of wine first. Really didn't need it. Get over the mental and it's smooth siling. LITERALLY!

I would TOTALLY recommend Shobha spa - they have a couple of locations in NYC and are AMAZING.

They wear gloves and do a 'no double dip' policy so you know they are clean.

They aren't that expensive either (although I would not pay for the eyebrow threading there).

I am intrigued by the laser...more details please!!

The first time is the worst! But after you get over the first time, it's not that bad - I would never lie and say you don't feel it - but it's not that bad!

I second Bliss Spa. They are a little pricey, but the best one I have been to so far. They have the different options if you don't want to get everything removed. It is a nice way to ease yourself into it.

Waxing at Avalon in the West Village (for Brazilian) starts at about $35 I think. I used to go to Shobha too and they are great but for me Agata at Avalon is a goddess!

I love UniKWax in Murray Hill. It's relatively new, and is super clean - they wear gloves, spray the beds down with alcohol between users and each client gets a new pot of wax. They also have an ala cart menu - so that you don't have to do the back end all the time if you don't want to.

Brazilians there cost $28ish, and the best thing is you can make appointments online, which I absolutely love.

For a brazilian I go to Christies Salon & Spa in Bayside, Queens.
Only go to Rosetta! She is great! Quick and (almost) painless.

I don't like J Sisters because they dont use gloves, and it's sooo much. I go to Arpi now too, and it's $35, and she wears gloves.

I have considered the laser, but I'm nervous!

I haven't had the guts to go Brazilian, but I do get my legs waxed. It was really scary the first time, but it really isn't that bad. Putting the wax on actually hurts more than when they rip the hair off, though neither is that bad. Waxing lasts so much longer than shaving, I love it! Before I went for a Brazilian I wold try a leg wax, it's a lot less risky.

I've been going to Spagnolo Defranco Salon on Middle Neck Road in Great Neck for the last 5 years. Only use Nina...she is absolutely amazing!! I have sent all of my friends and my sister to her and its only $35

I just looked up UniKwax...and they have al these different Waxings..brazilian Bikini Brazilan bikini with Top..buttocks...buttocks strip LOL....what happened to the good ole BRAZILIAN froM Back to front!!! i dont need anything Fancy!!!!
