DOES ANYONE'S

Re: DOES ANYONE'S

NO meaning here either. We wanted an inbetween season, so we chose October months before we even got engaged. Then once we did, we just assumed that was it! I'm glad we did though, because Fox Hollow is decorated beautifully in the Fall!

Re: DOES ANYONE'S

For me it was. I always loved 4th of July. Although we could not get the 4th because it was already booked. So we chose the 2nd. We are going to incorporate some red white and blue in the wedding but not overkill.....

we wanted Sept/Oct. but our hall wasn't available for the dates we wanted.. so we got August 9! which also happened to be the same date of our eparty this past year.

Re: DOES ANYONE'S

we wanted a holiday wedding because it was romantic, festive and only time hubby could take time off since he's a teacher.

A friend pointed out that our date, the 2 1st, represents 'when two become one' So we sort of took that as confirmation of the date.

We originally wanted Sept/Oct too but FHs good friend is getting married in Sept and Oct was booked up. We found that 8/29 was open which is our 4 year anniversary so yes...it has great meaning to us
PS..Wacky my brother is getting married June 21 too

Re: DOES ANYONE'S

For me it is, our anniversary is Sept 8th. So when we look at the calendar for 2004, the 8th is a Wednesday so that Sat would be the 11th. I told my FI that I did not want to get married on Sept. 11th so we choose the next Sat. which is the 18th.

Re: DOES ANYONE'S

Nope - I am in grad school and needed to plan it around classes. Also, FH's family is traveling very far, so we are doing it Memorial Day weekend so people traveling up can make a vacation out of it and not have to rush back to work on Monday.

However, my family, who is in the area, won't stop *****ing about it. They keep saying, 'Who gets married on Memorial Day weekend? You are ruining everyone's holiday.' Can you believe that?

Re: DOES ANYONE'S

Since we live in FL, DH and I both miss the seasons up north. Our favorite being the fall. When we started looking into available dates I just liked 10/5 because I though the date would be easy to remember plus it was 5 days after my parents 30th wedding anniversary.

Re: DOES ANYONE'S

Not really. July is the best month for me because I'm on summer break and my sister, a teacher as well, has June and July off, so July was naturally the best month. I love this month because I don't feel the pressure to have to prepare for the new school year, plus my birthday is in July. We chose the beginning of the month because our reception site was available plus with the July 4th weekend, people would have an extra day to travel, if needed.

Re: DOES ANYONE'S

When I was looking for a place, I knew that I wanted either Sept, Oct or Nov. Well almost all of Sept and October were booked, except for the weekends I could not have it due to the Jewish holidays. So the two dates in November that were available were the 8th and the 22nd. I went with the 22nd because the 8th is my birthday. My parents anniversary is the 25 and my mother is so excited that we will only be three days apart. It is also the day that JFK was shot.
