Does/did anyone have a couple who were afraid would act up at the wedding?

Hi.

Fh and I have a couple of friends who are in very unstable relationships. It is so day to day with these people. They are always arguing and it makes for a very uncomfortable situation?

We are at our wits end- we love these people and want them there, but there significant others- that is another story?

Anyone else going through this?

Oh boy did we have the same worry only ours were with PARENTS. If you really feel that something may happen, talk to the couple before hand. That is what my husbands brother did for us and I think it made a difference, there were no scenes, no dirty looks everything went just perfect.

Oh yeah! My stepmother. She remarried after my father passed away and has become some kind of party animal, drinking way too much, not to mention that she looks like an aging stripper at 45! My FH swears that she and new hubby are swingers. I have such a bizzare family and he's from the Cleaver's. I know every family has their quirks, mine are just a bit more 'quirky'.

One of my BM's just broke up with her boyfriend. They were always arguing. I am talking everyday, non-stop. But she isn't one to cause a scene in public. I would talk to your friends. But they may be insulted.

I think many ppl have this issue.
I personally was afraid a few couples and even a few singles would act up, especially w/open bar. I voiced my opinion to Len, and we decided to just pray and cross our fingers.

Luckily everything went smoothly. If they argue, most likely everyone will be having too much of a great time to notice.

YES friends of FH family. FH did some pretty dumb things in his past and I feel like they are going to make dumb comments to my parents or family. We already told FH mom, dad and family to warn them not to do it. I don't want anything to be ruined by these jacka$$es.

Yes! My brother and SIL. Their marriage is so rocky now that I don't even know if I should keep HER on the guest list. I am so worried that she will get really drunk and be horrible and my bro will getting equally self-destructive.

YES YES YES... except ours is a couple of our relatives.... if they act up(and say stuff about us) they will not be invited to our house after the wedding

We did have someone act up at our wedding. The story is unbelievable....The man who married and his 'wife' are our best friends who live across the street from us in Florida. About two months before the wedding she moved out of the house and they are in the process of getting a divorce because he is gay (you think they are a lot of people that get married by an openly gay minister?) needless to say that it was very hard for her to not only go to a wedding but for her estranged husband to stand there and tell us about how it is never ending and the bond can't be broken and eternal love and such. These words were very hard for her to hear so while at the reception she was not to nice about it and the whole table witnessed her acting up. Wait...I have a point, ooooh yeah. The point is that day I had not the slightest clue as to what was going on and when I did find out it was just a casual mention as if it was no big deal. Thankfully, everyone at their table is in our close group of friends and could understand....if you have someone you think is going to act up...put them at a table with people who know them...and can keep them in check.

My Future SIl and her Boyfriend. I wanted her in the BP so I could pick what she wears to the wedding. If I left it up to her, I would be scared, especailly since she would be in the pictures.

Also her and her BF were dirty dancing at the last engagement party we went to, and I was like okay, defnitly not the right place for that.

It is good to know that I am not alone in this. We have a groomsmen who has a very jealous wife. She has a tendency of vocalizing exactly what she is feeling. So we are hoping and praying for the best at our wedding.

SWAGS - that is why i am not having my DJ play 'It's getting hot in here, so take off all your clothes' b/c some proboably WILL!!! LOL

One of our groomsman, John, has this craaaazy GF. At the last wedding we went to, John was the best man. The DJ invited the bridal party to join in the first dance, and he is dancing with the Maid Of Honor and his GF comes running out of the woodwork, runs onto the dance floor, PUSHES the Maid Of Honor out of the way and starts dancing with John. So now he is so embarrassed that he is pushing HER away and trying to continue his dance with the MOH. OMG it was a nightmare....I hope she doesn't do this at my wedding...lol

fi's friend made such an as-s out of himself at my engagement party. he got really drunk early on and was dancing all over the place and groping my friends whose boyfriends were standing RIGHT there!! people had to get him off my friends.

but it wasn't worse than my ex (we are more friends than anything else- we grew up together- dating for a year or so on and off) who tried to kiss me and yelled at me. ugh.


anyway, i am worried about fi's friend at the wedding
