What do you guys think about insuring your E-ring?
Does everyone REALLY do it?
Does anyone have any experience with having to make a claim?

FH took care of that for me when he bought it. I would Definately get it insured!

Absolutely ensure it. You would be devasated if something happened to it. I got it appraised at The Jewlery Judge in Garden City and he can give you info. on insurance. I called Geico and they gave me a rider policy through Travelers. I think it is like $200 for the year.

I added it to my homeowner's policy for our co-op and it doubled the price! But I had to - it's too valuable/sentimental item to risk not having it insured.

I think it's very important, you just never know what's going to happen. I actually had one of my stones fall out...but I found it and it was fixed. Better safe than sorry.

I added mine to my renter's insurance. It did almost double my preimium but even then it was only like $157 a year or something. Mine is insured by Liberty Mutual.

YES! Definitely insure it. I had my mom add it to her homeowner's insurance. I don't think the price went up much at all.

*Definitely* insure it!!! My sister's apartment was broken into several years ago and at the time, both her wedding and ering were at home in her jewelry box, UNinsured. They were stolen and she had no recourse and was very upset.

I sure did -- I went through Allstate and it costs maybe 200 a year (i think?). I have peace of mind!

I wouldnt let FH put in on my finger unless it was insured. I gave him my renters insurance policy info and he went to my broker with the appraisal a day or two before he gave it to me.
