I'm putting mine on my right because I am a righty and thats where I feel most comfortable. I am not doing a garter toss, but if I did, the only person who would see which leg its on is FH.

Its actually a good question!! I never thought of it.. Im probably putting mine on my right leg (because I'm a righty)

Mom and my MOH said it had to be the left leg so that's where I had it. I have NO idea what the logic was behind that.
