I can't do it that way in our RH room even if I wanted to b/c of the way it's set up. The dance floor isn't in the middle of the room with tables on either side, it's against the one wall with all the tables together. I really don't think it matters at all! Plus, my side has SO many more guests than FH's side so if we did that, it'd look totally lopsided

I read the first line of your post and said 'hey my RH too' and then looked and of course you are at the Swan Club too.

Doesn't make a difference.

I sat to the left of my husband, so I had my family and close friends tables on the left side of the RH. DH's family were on his right, and our combined friends were mixed up.

I never, ever thought of separating families into different sides!
I think they are all our guests, and everyone can sit wherever it makes sense. I swear, sometimes we all give ourselves things to worry about. Whatever you do Melissa will be fine!

oh I dont know. I just placed them where I felt like placing them! LOL!

my hall gave me a map of where they put the tables and I put my parents at teh table '1' and DH's at '2.' But the hall said i could rearrange the tables.
