It's been so long, and I thought it was going well...
So, as I posted we met with the church the other day...
Priest states: Justin, your dad and mom have to stand together in the receiving line. They can't stand with their new spouses It's not about them being divorced it's because they raised you and should be recognized.
FMIL isn't thrilled, but she gets it, and understands. FFIL REFUSES to take take 10 f*cking minutes away from OUR day and stand with his ex-wife in the receiving line. Even his new wife thinks he should do it, but he refuses.
I am livid. It's OUR day.... not everything is about YOU, FFIL! SMH!

That is ridiculous. He should be more concerned about supporting his son and his new DIL... he's being completely ridiculous.

He isn't changing his mind. Since I've known him he's been all about him. I just figured for ONE day he'd get his head out of his as*.

theres always room for fil vents!! maybe his new wife can talk to him about it and work it out. hopefully!! hes not the first one that had to do that and will not be the last. my rents have to stand next to fils im sure theyre not thrilled but they have to do it ya know.

In the end he's the one who is going to look like a jerk. All your guests will be wondering where he is, some will probably even ask. If i were you, I'd just tell the truth if someone asked. No need to cover for him.
