Does this bother anyone else? - VENT

that's annoying.... and happy birthday!

I'm with you on this! Actually, my mom DESPISES it, so much so that on my wedding invites it read:
Gail and Paul Blah blah
Son of
Elvira and Alfred shoop shoop

And although I know its etiquette to address married couples as Mr and Mrs Joe Schmoe, I will not do that out of principal. I gave up my last name, no need to 'write' me out of the picture all together!

I HATE it. I dont use Mrs. either - I much prefer Ms. and FIL addresses our Christmas card Mr. and Mrs. His Name.

They need to seriously revise these etiquette books - some of them are from the 1920s!
