I know this sounds crazy but I want to have my dog Roxy walk down the aisle in my church. We got the dog together 7 years ago so its only fitting for her to be in the wedding. Do you think the church will allow it. I can make arrangements for her to be taken home after. I live only 3 blocks away. My fiancee thinks that everyone will think I'm crazy but I dont care.
By the way all of the dogs are so cute I am working on getting a pic of Roxy on here.

I've seen it in the brides magazines and in florists ads all the time, I think it's awesome. Every one of my friends keeps asking if I'll have my cats at my wedding. I totally would except (i'm not joking) they'd eat my veil! The only thing is I don't know if a church would allow it. I'm getting married at my hall. I would call the church, every church has different rules! I know the church by my house has 'blessing of the animals' so I bet they'd allow it

ETS: Usually if a church has a blessing of the animals for the feast day of St. Francis, it is done in the parking lot

I think that's a sweet idea.
I LOVE Dogs!! I don't think the church would allow it tho. But, its worth a shot to ask.

Great idea, but knowing the way churches can be, I'm thinking they would not be too thrilled w/ the idea. Can't hurt to ask though

i wanted our dog to be part of our wedding also. we had a friend waiting outside in the parking lot for the ceremony to end, and brought Halle (our black lab) to the front of the Church and the photographer took pictures of us with her and also our whole bridal party. the pictures came out awesome.we actually used one as our thank you! our wonderful florist John from Flower Michele also knew how much we love our dog and he made special flowers for her collar. talk abour spoiled!!! it was amazing. go for it!!!

It doesn't sound crazy at all... I want my Bella to be my Flower Girl!!!! FH bought her for me last Christmas, and she is like our little girl... I'm definately having pics taken with her.. But I'm not sure how the Church will react...
I would love to have my dog at my wedding, but I think he would get kinda freaked out with all the people. I will have pictures taken of us together before the wedding though.

The only thing I wish is for my DAUGHTER.. she is a jack russell terrier ,, my goodness i want her as the flower girl ,,, if the world was as WACKED as we are .... dogs would be flower girls /// But than i say to myself ,, she'l bark .. yelp ,,blah , blah , blah , poch stufff I WISH MY POOCH COULD BE THERE ,, I just dont want her there,,

I doubt the church will let you do that. Heck! they won't even let me throw flower petals inside.
I say if you can do it...do it! I would love to have my lab Finnegan part of our day but I know he's way too nuts!

I was thinking of having our ring bearer walk our dog down the aisle with a pillow attached to his back with the ring on it.. how cure would that be? I think there will be too much going on that day and I don't want to have to worry about him.. so we decided against it, but it's a great idea if the church let's you!

I think thats a great idea! Just to have the dog for the ceremony and then sent home is not only special but fair to both you, the animal and all the vendors. I've even seen dogs fitted for mini tuxes. I say do it!
