Re: Dogs in Wedding?

I wanted to do this, but I don't think our guests will enjoy our rottweiler running around and slobbering all over them. But I think it would be very cute if they can be well behaved. it also depends on the kind of wedding you are having. I think it is more appropriate for a more casual wedding, then say a black tie one. JMO

Re: Dogs in Wedding?

You girls are too funny! I hadn't thought of the peeing on the aisle that could be a little embarassing! i love the pictures that Jenn posted!

I understand about not the rotweiller, although we have poodles, so how scarey can they be for Petes sake, but you never know.

Our reception/ceremony site was very cool about making an exception for our dogs (heck, it is MY day right!) but that is probably because the ceremony will most likely be outside. If you are thinking of having your dogs, or just not sure, it doesn't hurt to ask your site (although, i am not sure if a church would allow it?) Good luck, and thanks for all the laughs girls!

Re: Dogs in Wedding?

We are having a formal wedding and we wanted our dog to be a part of it. Our pets are family. Lord knows if anything happens to either one, my entire family would be devastated! It took my mom 3+mos to get over our first dog! She was his favorite...
I would have had my dog attend the ceremony but not the reception. I would not want to see him running around sniffing every corner and chair in site!

Re: Dogs in Wedding?

DH wanted to have our dog Madaket as our ring barer but we knew that wasn't really possible. She would have been all over the place. I think if you do decide to do it you should definately have someone else there who can take care of the dog if he acts up.
