Doing a bouquet/garter toss?

I was just curious how many of you were doing the 'tosses', who was doing an Anniversary Dance, and who was just forgoing the whole thing.

LOL, I was just picturing Brad and the garter toss, and all those guys from Chabad going nuts!

We're only doing the bouquet, no garter. Seriously, Adam's friends are a bunch of geeks (and I mean that as lovingly as possible), and the mere thought of my garter in sweaty geek palm disturbs me.

Our biggest fear was that my VERY HOT 18 y/o Bridesmaid would catch the bo-k and My VERY old FIL or great uncle would catch the garter and we would have to sit HORRIFIED by the next scene.....

We decided we would do both tosses, and dance with the 'Winners?'... and then switch partners...

My goofy BIL and one of my girlfrieds were the 'winners' and EVERYONE loved the uniqueness of our dance... Of course my BIL hammed it up a bit and decided to slide the garter up my friends ARM while they danced... Definately one of the most memorable moments!!!!

Not doing either. There won't be many single women or men there so I don't want anyone to feel self-conscious.

An anniversary dance is when you have all the married couples dancing. First people married less than 5 years sit down, then less than 10, 20, etc...the bouquet gets handed to the couple who has been married the longest!

I am doing the bouquet toss, but I'm not sure about the garter toss. We have some religious friends who may be offended by it, but some other friends who will really enjoy it. I'm just not sure that I will be comfortable with the whole garter thing...

Yep! We did both the bouquet and garter toss to keep with the traditions. It was truly a lot of fun and because we did this, it made it truly the HAPPIEST day of of our lives.

To each their own. It's really up to each bride and groom should you choose to do one or both traditions as you're in control. It's YOUR big day.

I am leaning towards not going either. I personally always felt uncomfortable having to stand there and wait for the bo-k to be thrown. I will decide closer to the wedding.

I am not doing any of it. I don't want anyone touching my leg on my wedding day, but my husband. Plus I don't like the look of a bride with her dress hiked up trying to get at teh garter.

I'm leaning towards doing the bouquet toss or anniversary dance but NO garter toss. I honestly don't think we'll have a whole lot of single folks.

Besides I caught the bouquet at FSIL's wedding and FH did NOT catch the garter so this 'kid' who was like 10 years younger than me caught it and all his friends were yelling 'she's a hottie, go higher, higher.....' It was the single most embarassing moment of my life!!!

I am not doing either. I always hated when I was at weddings (even if I was with a boyfriend) and being dragged up there to wait with all the other singles. No offense to anyone doing it...it's just not me.

iw asnt going to do the garter just the bouqet, but my bridesmaids said i really should stick with the tradition, cheesy or not... so i decided to do it...
