I joined LA Weight Loss and I gotta say, it's really working. I started about 2 weeks ago and I know my initial drop in weight was mostly water, but I'm am PSYCHED! I have a lot to lose and if it will all come off this fast, I'll be thrilled.

LA Weight Loss (LAWL) is very different from WW. Weight Watchers is a great plan, very filling and 'do-able.' (The only reason I didn't joint WW (again) is because of my negative association with it - it's the place mom used to drag me to as a kid.) On LAWL you have a food list to choose all your foods from (they inclue proteins, vegetables, starches, fruits, fats and dairy). The list also includes restaurant entrees. Depending on how much you have to lose (plus your age, health status, etc.) you get a certain number of items from each of the food groups per day.

Thank you!
It does seem expensive - at first. I'm paying $479 for 7 and a half months. I'm paying $149 more in that time period than I would for WW (which would come out to $330 paying the weekly fee). I gave a substantial down payment, and it's working - having given so much of my cash up front, I'm really sticking to it. And I have a lot of weight to lose, so I'll still be around in 7 months.

You know I joined months ago and didnt follow the plan. This has given me the incentive to get back on it. I just think its a very strict plan that has to work!
Thanks

I'm not going to pull punches - it is strict. But it WORKS.

i have been a WW all my life but thought i would LAWL a try .. something different .. i am very into and it does remind me of WW except that it is one on one instead of group meetings ... i have been onn it 2 weeks and lost 8.2 lbs so far ... it is pricey but this is something i am doing for myself and i feel it is worth it ....
i wish you the best of luck ... believe me i know all to well about a life long weight battle ...

Hey thanks a lot!!
I am very into LAWL as well. I have done WW ALL MY LIFE and never got the results I'm getting from LAWL. I'm down 12 pounds since I joined with them 5 weeks ago, 16 pounds since I started weighing myself a little before I joined them. On WW, I would be down maybe 3 to 5 pounds by now. Not bashing WW at all, but for ME, this is a better program. Especially the one on one counseling, All the best to you! Congrats on the weight loss!!
