Don't want DADDY'S LITTLE GIRL!
My father and I have been trying to find a song for our father/daughter dance. We both do not want the usual 'Daddy's Little Girl'. Does anyone have any suggestions? What are you dancing to? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I am not using that song either
I am using Tim McGraw 'Grown Men Don't Cry'. Here are some other ideas: Butterfly Kisses Unforgetable Rod Stewart (not sure of title but the words are Easy My Troubles That What you do) Theme from Beaches Also, do a search and use keyword 'Father Dances' lots of threads will come up with suggestions.

Have you heard the song 'A Song For My Daughter'? I've been to a few weddings the last few months and most of the brides have used this song.

Don`t want DADDY`S LITTLE GIRL!
I am with you. That song is too cliche! My father and I are going to dance to Unforgetable - the version with Nat King Cole and Natalie Cole. Even though it has that father daughter theme, we are using it becuase we both love that song and when it first came out we used to sing it all the time. Sometimes we would be really retarted and sing it while dancing in the kitchen. I would suggest you think more along the lines of a song that has some significance to both of you, beyond it being the song you use for the wedding day. Good luck! Becky

My Girl...Temptations
Whenever my dad hears this song he transforms form a big burly hulk hogan lke man to a temptation and starts sliding around on the floor and singing it....i thought it was perfect... another one, which I haven't seen in a while but two of my cousins used in the 80s was sunrise sunset from fiddler on the roof (is that the little girl I carried - or something like that)
