Donation Favors..

We decided to make a donation to the American Cancer Society in lieu of favors for the wedding. How can I print a card myself to frame and put on each table that says a little saying....

Depending on your computer savy, an easy way to do it is to type something out in microsoft word and print it out on card stock...

im printing out my donation cards onto business cards and will be attaching each one onto a livestrong bracelet...

We are made scrolls w/computer paper & attaching them to the boxes filled with dove chocolate...I am also adding a picture to the scrolls bc we are donating in memory of my grandparents! this is my saying

To Our Family & Friends

With much thought & consideration,
we have chosen a special way
to say “Thank You’ for sharing
our wedding day with us.

In lieu of a traditional wedding favor,
we have made donations to the
American Diabetes Association
&
National Parkinson Foundation
in memory of Raymond & Gertrude.

We feel the finest gift
is one which helps others
live longer and healthier lives.

We truly appreciate your being
part of our special day.

Love,
Kristen & Jason

you can put two or four to a page, then trim it down on a paper cutter once it is printed!!

Depending on the printer you are using, you can set the printer to print on anything from index cards, to labels to envelopes!

I agree, this would be the most cost effective way to go. Plus, you can do it any way you want, you're not limited to what's out there.

Most printers have different page sizes and on some you can customize the paper size.

I would contact the NY branch of the American Cancer Society, I know when I was thinking of doing this I was working with someone and they were going to provide me with printed cards. Also, check to see if your employer has a matching program, that way your donation will be more sufficient. That's a great favor!

the American Cancer Society will provide you with the scrolls....

Wedding Favors and Scrolls for Other Special Events
ACS scrolls offer a meaningful gift to guests

A growing number of couples are forgoing the traditional wedding favors, such as matchbooks with their names on them, and spending their money instead on American Cancer Society wedding scrolls.

The paper scrolls come in five different colors and couples get to choose the wording they want printed on them. A typical message says that a donation has been made in the guest’s honor to the American Cancer Society, in memory of a loved one or in honor of a cancer survivor. The couple’s names and their wedding date appear at the bottom. The couple also has a choice of lettering.

The American Cancer Society does the printing and cutting. Most couples then roll them up and tie a pretty ribbon around them.

If you are interested in learning more about the scrolls -- which could be used for graduations and bar mitzvahs, as well -- please call Nancy Dest in the New England Division’s Framingham, Mass. Office. Her number is 800-952-7664, ext. 4630, or 508-270-4630. She can be reached by email at [email protected].

Once an inquiry is made “I send a sample package to the bride-to-be with my business card. Everything from there is done over the phone, as well,” explains Nancy. “Once I am notified of the scroll wording, font, color paper, and quantity, they are in the mail in 48 hours.”

There is no minimum donation required. Couples often are able to double their donation through a matching gift from their employers.
