Donation wedding favors

I know many of you are doing donations as a wedding favor and FH & I are considering doing this too. Where did you guys donate?

I am donating to the national multiple sclerosis society , I have MS and they really came through for me numerous times. They even had an advocate come with me to my previous employer to sit in my termination meeting with me. It is an amazing organization!!!!!!!!!!!!

My sister donated to Hospice and American Cancer Society. I think you should just pick something that has meaning to you and your FH.

We are donating to the American Heart Association since FH dad and uncle both passed away from heart attacks. They also fund my lab research, so its a double good one for us! You should definitely choose something with meaning to you and your FH

We are most likely going to be donating to KIVA. We love love love their microloan program. It helps entrepreneurs in developing countries finance their businesses. The best part is, it's a cycle! Once the entrepreneur pays the loan back, you can reinvest the loan. It's awesome!

i don't think it matters ... ultimately, your guests won't see the actual donation (or anything to do with it). They'll just get a card that says 'in lieu of traditional favors, we have made a donation to ___ in your honor' (someting on those lines, at least)

That was our original plan, not sure if we can still do it! We planned on donating to the ASPCA!

We made ours to Hospice in memory of my Mom who had the best care from the Hospice care network

We're doing the Long Island Bulldog Rescue. Not something most people would do, but we have a bulldog, and I volunteer for the organization, so its definitely close to both our hearts.

I am considering donating to the Juvenile Diabletes Research Foundation (JDRF) for children and adults who live with type 1 diabletes. It could affect children from birth into adulthood. There is no cure and is something people spend their lives struggling to manage and leads to many complications and death. It is the only organization exclusively devoted to finding a cure or helping people manage and live with type 1 diabetes.

We will be donating to the American Heart Association in Memory of FH's mother. Although I never got to meet her she will be gone 2 years this July. She passed away suddenly 2 weeks before my Future Sister in law's wedding. FH and I met 2 days before his sister's wedding and I think his mom def. had a lot to do with that looking down from heaven
