Don't love RH but feel I'm running out of time....

So, we got engaged last month and want to get married in summer 2007. We've looked at about 7 RHs and aren't really into any of them. Last night we went to one and FH really liked it - I had a couple of problems with it. But, I feel like we're running out of time so if FH likes it and I feel it's just ok, we should book it. Do you think we should book it or hold out til we find something we both really really like?

No. Keep looking until you are happy. Second guessing a major decision like that will give you nothing but a major headache. If you can, try to be a little flexible with your date.

I definalty think yolu need to still look... You should fall in love with the place, or atleast the price

You sound very hesitant.. definatly look around a bit more

The price is definitely right and the food sounds great, that's why I tempted to just go with it....we have two appts. for tomorrow so I guess I'll re-evaluate after that....

We don't really have anything specific that we're looking for - besides we will have to fit about 180-200 guests. I guess we just need to find a place with the right feel. We really loved the Bourne Mansion and the salesperson worked out a great pp price but the site fee was killing us and breaking our budget.

We also need to stay in Suffolk - the church is in Port Jefferson.

We've already looked at the Pt. Jeff CC, Old Field Club, Miller Beach Surf Club, Three Village Inn, Timber Point, and Tall Grass CC. I worked at the W. Sayville CC for years so I'd rather avoid that.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

We definitely do not want to spend more than $125 - $135 max (if we really loved it) pp including tax and service charge. We'd prefer a Sat. night and second choice is Saturday day and third is Sunday.

Definitely in the right area...I never checked them out but I got the impression from the board that those are way over my budget...so I never really considered them or contacted them. Do you think they are about in my price range?

FF is slightly more expensive so I'd check out Land's end first. Also, if you can do it on a friday or sunday and negotiate - it might work for you. Give them a call and see what their base price is. Good Luck!
