So, we got engaged last month and want to get married in summer 2007. We've looked at about 7 RHs and aren't really into any of them. Last night we went to one and FH really liked it - I had a couple of problems with it. But, I feel like we're running out of time so if FH likes it and I feel it's just ok, we should book it. Do you think we should book it or hold out til we find something we both really really like?

CHeck out Majestic Gardens in Rocky Point!! Right off of 347/25A...GORGEOUS and the food is PHENOMENAL!!! Under $100pp, and Dominique is wonderful to work with!! I HIGHLY recommend them. YOu don't even have to go anywhere for pics, plus they just redid it a little over a year ago, so it's all brand new and just beautiful! Check out their site! My FH and I walked in and we just knew it was the place, plus it's close to Pt Jeff! Hope this helps Keep us posted! Majestic Gardens

Hi, thanks so much to everyone replying to my post but it was from about a month or so ago and since then we decided to book the Hamlet Willow Creek in Mt. Sinai - I really do appreciate everyone's help though!

Definitely keep looking until you are in love with the RH. Try Larkfield Manor (I'm biased - FM me for info), Chateau La Mer, Venetian Yacht Club, Hyatt Windham Watch in Hauppauge...

OK, here is a quiz for you.... If you take 25A east from port jeff, taking all those local roads, there is a very cute reception place among some victorian homes, also near a pond and a bend in a road...

I used to pass that place every day while going to work, and I can't remember the name of it....

It looked pretty cute from the outside.... maybe you should look into it?

It's the one we both really liked - we saw it after I made this post originally - definitely not settling!

sorry.... I'm directionally impaired... I meant going east on north country road.... somewhere north of 25A, and about 7 min east of mather hospital

I think you're talking about the Miller Place Inn - we did look there but decided on HWC! Thanks so much for your help though!
