So, we got engaged last month and want to get married in summer 2007. We've looked at about 7 RHs and aren't really into any of them. Last night we went to one and FH really liked it - I had a couple of problems with it. But, I feel like we're running out of time so if FH likes it and I feel it's just ok, we should book it. Do you think we should book it or hold out til we find something we both really really like?

Have you checked out Jericho Terrace? The have some of the most original ballrooms I've even seen. Absolutely beautiful. They'd also fit your amount of ppl and their prices are awesome!

Thanks but since our church is in Port Jeff I kinda want to stick more local and stay in central to eastern suffolk.

flowerfield's prices for summer of 07 are:

sat eve: 180pp with min 185
sat afternoon: 130pp min 140
Sun eve: 140 pp min 150
Sun afternoon : 130pp min 140
Fri eve: 150pp min 160

tax and gratuity not included...its all negotiable im sure...i just figured id post the prices to give u an idea...land's end is slightly cheaper...

Did you try Villa Lombardi's or the Watermill?

I did the same thing. trust me go with one that you are absolutely in love with! I fell in love with the swan club and booked it within a few days.

Try Larkfield Manor in Northport- it's absolutely gorgeous!! I would've booked there, but FH was dead against Suffolk (we're in Queens). The price is great too!!

I think the closer you get to the date you would like, the lower they will go with the price and minimum guests.

When I went to lands end, they seemed to have quite a few dates open for the summer... definitely check them out.

No. Keep looking until you are happy. Second guessing a major decision like that will give you nothing but a major headache. If you can, try to be a little flexible with your date.
