Don't want to spend a lot on limos... advice please!

I just can't bear to pay a fortune on a car that is going to drive me to and from the church! I'm looking for ideas of how to make limos cheaper. My bridal party is only 4 people. I'm not looking for anything fancy. Any suggestions on how to lower the cost of limos???

Thanks!

black limos are usually cheaper
an older model is usually cheaper -maybe like a 2000 or so

Why do you need a limo to get there? No one sees it, only you. Have someone drive. Then, have a limo pick you up!

julybride444 - I was thinking about that, but I'm worried about fitting into a regular car with my gown on - I don't want to ruin it on the way to the church! What about the bridal party - don't you kind of have to provide transportation for them???

Why don't you just get one limo for you, FH and the bridal party? Have the limo pick up the guys and drop them off and then swing back and pick up the ladies. Then after the ceremony have the limo take you to where you need to go and you're done!

Unfortunately I would have loved to have done this but the guys in my BP are big and tall so one limo wasn't going to cut it.

My limo is ridiculously cheap - FM me you'd like the info!

We're just getting one limo - it's just for me, FH, MOH and best man. Black is definitely cheaper, too. Also, only reserve it for the hour that you need to be picked up in the morning and then picked up from the hall afterwards - don't reserve it for the whole day.

I got mine really cheap too - FM me if you want their info

Are you getting married in January? If so- do NOT book until November or December. I got married January 31st and didn't book my limos until mid December. I got brand new black lincolns (four of them) and it was way cheaper.. I just called around- believe me, in January they need the business & their prices come down.

I was totally against getting a limo from the beginning. And I had an entire plan about how I would avoid paying for one. Like you said, it just seems like a giant waste of money. Fortunately, I avoided the entire situation because I am having my ceremony and reception in the same place. Anyway, here was my thinking:

Everyone in my family has a nice car, including myself. Why should I pay to use someone else's. I was planning on using my car-a fancy red convertible. If you don't have a suitable car yourself, there is probably someone in your family that does. Maybe you could borrow it. There is nothing better than driving off in a convertible with the top down.

Anyway, my idea was completely rejected. My mother thought it was ridiculous because my dress would be so big and how would it all fit in a tiny car. But I still think it is a good idea.
