Good morning '05ers!!

Just got off the phone with Chris, Donna's DH, who asked me to let you all know that their baby was born this morning at 8:08 a.m.!

The baby weighs 1 lb 7 ounces and is 12 1/4 inches long. Chris hasn't chosen a name yet. He only got to see the baby for about 10 seconds and he wants to get a real good look at him before he decides on a name.

The doctors said the baby is a fighter (knowing Chris and Donna that is not a surprise). He came out kicking and swinging his arms and legs! They put him in an incubator and he is intubated right now. Donna is resting comfortably this morning. I am hoping to go there later this afternoon and see her.

Thank you all for how kind and supportive you have been to Donna during this time. Please keep your prayers going as their baby is not out of the woods just yet.

Just read that Donna had the baby. I guess I am a little behind the times. PLEASE tell her my story: I was 29 weeks and my daughter was born 1 pound 9 1/2 ounces and 12 1/4' (just like CJ). What hospital is she in? She will need lots of support as it is a rough road, but it goes fast. I spent 58 days going back and forth to the hospital, ups and downs and LOTS of tears. Please tell her to FM me for support, as I just went through the same thing.

It sounds like he's a little fighter. He's got such wonderful parents (not that I've met them, but they both seem like amazing people.) Please pass along my good wishes too!

Thanks for the update. I'm so glad to hear the good news. A girl I was very good friends with was also a premie -- a few months early -- and she grew up to be about 6' feet tall and in perfect health.

One of my friends (who also posts on here) had her baby at 25 weeks. I'm not 100% sure about his actual weight but he is fine!! He's got the cutest little gerber-chubby cheeks going (he's about eight months old). Many prayers for Doodles baby!!

Please let them know that while we all join our faith in prayer to just leave it not in the doctors hands but in God's hands. My daughter was born 1lb 14 oz at 26 weeks gestation. The doctors told me they did not think she was going to make it. Well, she's a very feisty, fully developed 12 year old with no medical problems. If he did it for us he'll do it for them also. I pray that God will bless and strengthen them as they go through this.
