Dooodles had her baby!!! UPDATED PG. 3

Good morning '05ers!!

Just got off the phone with Chris, Donna's DH, who asked me to let you all know that their baby was born this morning at 8:08 a.m.!

The baby weighs 1 lb 7 ounces and is 12 1/4 inches long. Chris hasn't chosen a name yet. He only got to see the baby for about 10 seconds and he wants to get a real good look at him before he decides on a name.

The doctors said the baby is a fighter (knowing Chris and Donna that is not a surprise). He came out kicking and swinging his arms and legs! They put him in an incubator and he is intubated right now. Donna is resting comfortably this morning. I am hoping to go there later this afternoon and see her.

Thank you all for how kind and supportive you have been to Donna during this time. Please keep your prayers going as their baby is not out of the woods just yet.

Thanks everyone for all your prayers and good wishes!

I went to see Donna yesterday and told her about all the support she was receiving on the boards. She is almost overwhelmed by how much everyone cares about her and what is happening.

Donna looked good for having had an emergency c-section earlier in the morning and having almost no sleep the night before. She was in a lot of pain though. They say that today the pain is going to worse than yesterday. Thank goodness for Percocet!!

The baby, Christopher James, is stable right now. Some of the tests they took in the morning had improved when they did redid them in the afternoon.

I'm sure Donna will write you all a note when she can. As soon as she is feeling better, I think Chris will bring her the laptop again.

Of course, keep all the prayers and good wishes going for them!!

i keep thinking of her...all last night...

Although I don't know Donna but through the boards, I feel so much for her and her husband during this time. My brother was a premie and I didn't see him until he was almost 2 months old b/c he was incubated. My parents were a wreck. He is 17 years old now, healthy (a bit skinny, but he wears it well!) and a musical prodigy - so there are premies born every day who are well and happy!

My prayers continue!
