They don't take appointments for cake tastings? Weird. They didn't ask for any info or anything and just told me to call a few hours before I feel like coming in. Is this what everyone else did?

I am so jealous of anyone having their cake from Dortoni's....love them!
When FH and I first started dating...I live in Westchester...he always used to bring me treats from Dortoni's...they are yummy!!

Yes, this is true... we called before hand so they knew what flavors we were interested in. When we walked in, we didn't take a number, we just asked to speak with Rudy. He took our info and brought over the fillings we wanted to taste and two cake types, vanilla and chocolate. It was fun and FH and I prob gained a few lbs. The place is really good.

Re: Dortoni's Bakery.
My hall uses them for our cake... we only get a choice of 2 designs and we can't do a tasting! I'm so angry, most places let you do a tasting, how can you know what you want without trying first? They even told me I can't go to the bakery and discuss my cake with them!
