Doubting my dress

I know I shouldn't do this and it should not matter what people think. Today I was at Macys in Manhasset waiting in front of the Bridal Salon for my cousin admiring my dress is in the window display. Anyway while I was standing there waiting for my cousin these two women walk by look at my dress and say that the dress is horrible and tacky. Who would wear that?! The dress is not sure what it wants to be. They just shredded my dress. Well my stomach turned and they basically ruined the rest of my day. I know not everyone is going to have the same taste but I heard it and it still sort of bothers me. Oh well! I tried to laugh about it but I am not a little insecure about my choice now.

I don't know if it will make you feel any better but I just looked at your dress in your album and it is TO DIE FOR!!!! It's really beautiful!! Don't worry about those ladies and i'm sorry you feel bad

Don't listen to them! You dress is fabulous! They prob wouldn't look as good in it as you anyway! LOL Think about it this way. If we all liked the same dress, that means we would all be wearing the same dress. Right? Which is worse? I think if everyone had my dress, that would be worse. I know a lot of people don't like my dress cuz its a diff stlye than what they want in a dress. All I know is that I LOVE IT, my mom LOVES IT, and my FH will LOVE IT.

next time if someone says something about your gown and you hear it........ call them out on it!!!!

in the end not everyone will like your gown
just like not everyone will like mine.

all that matters is how you feel in it!!!

Thanks Ladies! I tried to laugh it off with my cousin because she heard them too and said I don't know but I got the feeling they love your dress.LOL! In a few days I will forget about them but it did hurt.

omg that's so horrible that you had to go through something like that! but it's true, obviously the dress is something special if it's in the window of macys! plus, a lot of times a gown can look a lot different off than on! poor girl, i love your gown, it's sexy, gorgeous, and fabolous!

honestly dont pay one ounce of attention to them.... #1 your dress is beautiful! it actually looks just a st pucchi that a celebrity was trying on in a wedding show (and if you dont believe me ill track it down on you tube! haha), #2 there were plenty of dresses that I tried on that i was like ew no and the consultant made me and they looked completely different on me!

basically dont have doubt over someone elses opinions, its not worth it and youll drive yourself nuts trying to find a dress that EVERYONE likes

you should go back and try it on!

I would have told the women that is my dress and to keep their opinions to themselves... eff them your dress is gorgeous and they have bad taste themselves

your dress is georgus! and they are right about the window. Plus every dress looks different on everyone. I bet when you tried this dress on it was YOU thats why its YOURS be happy you chose it.

Your dress is beautiful. Poll 100 people on all of our dresses and I'm sure some would say the same about ours. You can't please anyone. Wear it with pride and confidence!!!

everyone has different taste. I did NOT like my dress on hanger! I love yours! Really...plus seeing it in a window and on a person are two different things!

Ughhh so sorry you're going through this!!

I know it's hard not to take it to heart, but really try not to. Everyone has their own tastes and opinions-I'm sure people were appalled by mine, having a gigantic bow right smack on my chest, but you know what?? At the end of the day I know my dress was 120% the perfect dress for me. I had lots of second guessing too.

You will look gorgeous, and don't listen to other opinions. You chose that dress for a reason.
