Yesterday was my shower My Mom, Nana and bridesmaids hosted a champagne brunch. They held it at our friends restaurant and my Dad and his friends were our 'chefs' for the day

After everyone had left I wanted a mimosa but opted for just champagne instead LOL



ETA: Having a brunch was fantastic because it gave us time later in the day to get all the gifts home and sorted. I even got all my thank you cards done last night before I went to bed

I love that your dad and his friends were your chef's of the day. Holy GIFTS!!!!! Looks like it was a wonderful time.

Thanks Mary We didn't do traditional shower games like bridal bingo, toilet paper brides, ect. With such a large turnout we thought it might get too time consuming. What we did was have all the guests fill out their thank you card return envelopes. My flower girls went around and collected them. We pulled ten names and I walked around with a basket full of gifts and each person got to pick. Then before gifts were opened FH announced that he had chosen ten of his favorite items from our registry. When that item was opened he would go to the person/people who gave the gift and let them pick a prize. It really worked out nice
