How do you find a dress that will make 8 Bridesmaids happy??? I am already seeing problems with this...
Do you just pick out a dress and hope for the best? Or, do I bring them all shopping????

Re: Dress advice...
My honest advice is this: PICK THE DRESS THAT YOU LIKE! Just make it A line, that looks good on everyone. Then shut your ears and let them deal with it. JMHO. That's what I did and no complaints.

Re: Dress advice...
I am bringing two to three as a first pass at shopping, out of seven.
My goal is to find dresses that come in different shapes, styles, etc. but will all come in the same fabric and color. This will be the best way to make them all happy.
Or, if you want them all in the same dress- straight, strapless and simple.. Add spaghetti straps for those who are uncomfortable with strapless.

Re: Dress advice...
I just picked the dress. Everyone seems to love it Either that or they are just saying that to make me happy. Either way is fine

Re: Dress advice...
pick 8 different dresses.... I am not being mean...this is what I did... I let all my girls pick different dresses from styles that I chose... I chose 15 different styles & they each had to chose a different dress.
Fm me if you want pics.

Re: Dress advice...
maybe go with your MOH....or you could do separates and have the girls pick out the top & bottom they like best. That's what I would do if I had a lot of BM's.

let each of them pick out the dress that they like. Just tell them the designer, color and fabric.

Re: Dress advice...
Nothing will make everybody happy. Pick a 'theme'...what you want the dresses to say about you and your day...and go from there. Also try to pick something that is flattering for all and go from there. Take into account shapes (of girls), age (of girls) status of girls (pregnant or not) and move forward from there. Also get professional advice. The sales person should have a good idea if you tell her what your aiming for...and by all means bring the girls with you.

Re: Dress advice...
I have six people in my bridal party. I only brought my maid of honor and NYPDSGIRL with me. They helped me select. The other girls needed to live with it. It's too hard to have everyone agree on one thing.
Good luck!

do seperates... pick out a skirt they can all wear and then have them choose different tops...

Re: Dress advice...
Hello Ladies, Thank you so much for your replies
You are all soooo helpful. I think I going to go with a combination of what you all said. I am going to continue my search for a dress that everyone can agree on. If that does not work, then when the new lines come out in January, I am going to bring my mom and MOH and help me coordinate separates and have the girls pick what they want.
Sound good??
Thank you once again for your advice, you really help with the situation and eased the stress
Love, andrea

Re: Dress advice...
Definitely do not take them all with you! I have 7 girls and I only took my MOH with me shopping. Between the two of us we tried on several dresses and chose the one. The girls all love it.

Re: Dress advice...
I had 8... If you bring them all shopping with you, they will drive you crazy.. even though you love them! You just have to pick the dress thats right for you. Dont send picts around and say 'what do you think?' Just show them a pict of the dress you are getting and be firm about it. I wound up getting my dresses in black because my bp had such a wind range of body types. I just felt everyone would be comfortable in black...
