Last Thursday, I went dress shopping for the first time and fell in love with one of the first dresses I tried on. I went to a bunch of stores today and still kept thinking back to that original dress.
So, I decided to take my mom (who had already seen it) and my aunt back to the first store tonight and they are both absolutely in love with it. The only thing is...I was just informed that the dress is going to be discontinued and the designer is only taking orders on it for 5 more days!!
Do I go my gut and order this dress even though ideally I would have liked to look at a few more places? My wedding isn't until August 2010 so I'm confused. I LOVE the dress but just worried I'm making a decision too soon. On the other hand, what if I forego this dress and never find something I like as much.
you love the dress so i think you should buy it. and then you can sit back and relax rather than if you don't buy it, you'll drive yourself crazy going dress shopping every week to find the one.

My dress was the last thing I did. Most LIW ladies seemed to get theirs much earlier than me. But I liked waiting til the last minute so I knew what my weight would be and that I was picking exactly what I wanted...I think you are early and if you can, I'd wait.

I would buy it. I loved the first dress I tried on and everytime I went to look at other dresses none of them compaired and I still thought about the first one. I never regretted it. Go for it!

Just wanted to give everyone an update...I ordered the dress! I am sooooo excited. When I went back to try it on today, I fell in love with it all over again. I honestly could not picture myself wearing anything else on my wedding day. Thanks for all the great advice. I'm so happy I followed my gut and went for it.

I would call Maggie and see if it is going to be discontinued. If they cant tell you call any store and ask them to check for you. Most stores will check, and you will know for sure.

I bought the 4th dress I tried on. Everyone said maybe you should keep looking. I said I just knew. Of course I will change my mind when I see other dresses...we all could even to last minute... But if it compliments your body and everyone loves it; get it. The other dresses may not look good on you. I realized this after having the dream dress in mind and it looked horrible on me. I never thought I'd go with the kind of dress that looked good on me. Plus, ordering it this far in advance, no last minute worries. My dress came in in about 6 weeks and I don't get married until next year!!!! One thing I don;t have to worry about!
