dress at Estelle's in Farmingdale

Both my FMIL and a friend of my fathers said that Estelle's is a great place to shop for dresses. Supposedly they have low prices. I know they have bridal gowns. I am thinking of visiting. Anyone else been there?

i went there to look for a dress for my mom...they have a big selection of dresses and the prices are reasonable...but i am not sure about bridal gowns...they have some but i don't remember seeing a lot.

There's a separate section in the store for wedding gowns & flower girl dresses I believe. Not a large selection but fairly decent.

Estelles has a lot of dresses - my mother got her dress there, however my sister-in-law had a terrible experience - in that her wedding dress didn't come in on time and it was the wrong color - and they don't do the alterations.

I tried on a few there. Not crazy about the service. It's very rushed on the weekend too.
they do have one rack of plus size samples. Its worth a look, b/c you don't need an appointment, I would reccomend it more for other dresses, like MOB, or a guest.

We bought our bridesmaid dresses there for my FSIL's wedding. As far as the bridesmaid dresses go everything is pretty much off the rack, no alterations in house. It is a good place to go if you have little time and if you want to stay under a certain budget. Otherwise it is pretty impersonal. Plus there are many prom-like dresses. Don't know about the bridal gowns. I looked around quickly & noticed that the selection seemed pretty limited. They have a lot of bridal accessaries though (for the whole bridal party).

I went there a few weeks ago. The dresses were ok but the saleslady didnt exactly jump up to help me. The MOB dresses werent too great. I think its a great place for prom dresses mainly. But it doesnt hurt to check it out for yourself!

they have a huge selection but b/c they are on the cheaper side, they are knockoffs and might not hang as nice as the real ones. but they have a great selection!

When I was there, they had a lot of dresses in odd sizes (2's or 22's) not a lot in the middle. What they did have were very poorly made.

I thought all their dresses were poorly made and didn't look like they would hold up well. JMO and I could've just been there on an off day.

My FSIL bought her wedding gown @ Estelles -
now granted, the gown was not at all my styel - but it LOOKED cheap. - it's one thing not to spend a ton of money, it's another when the gown looks like tissue paper. -
You can also try David's Bridal for less expensive gowns in a range of sizes
