Hi Ladies! Did those of you that ordered your wedding gown already, give the bridal shop your real wedding date?
Some people, including my mom are telling me to tell the shop/salon that my wedding is actually one month earlier than it really is. This is just to ensure that it will be ready on time.
I'm very curious to know if anyone else has done or plans on doing this. TIA

I didn't. It's a very reputable shop, so I'm not that worried. Besides, I ordered my gown a year and a half in advance, so I should have it at least 6 months before anyway, and if I don't then I can start calling and harrassing them. I'm not too worried though.

Oh my god! My mom YELLED at me because I gave them the right date. She was like 'you never give them the correct date!!!!'
But mine wedding is over a year and a half away, so I'm sure it will be in before them!

When I ordered mine, they put down 2 months earlier on the paper to be on the safe side.
If you go to a reputable place, they usually know how long each designer takes for dresses to come in and will go by that and your wedding date.

i just ordered and gave them the right date.. they said it would take six months and its a year away i should be fine

I gave them my real date. They told me my dress should be in by July/August. MY sisters friend ordered her BM dresses there and they came in before they were suppose to.
