Hi girls. As some of you know I've been having a tough time finding a dress. I've been to Bridal SUite in Centereach, Paradise Bridal, and David's Bridal but have not gotten anything. Anyone have any recommendations for dress shops? I've heard some horror stories about some which makes me nervous. It has been really stressing me out that I can't find anything. Any thoughts?
I'm thinking of taking the day off tomorrow to spend the whole day looking. Thanks!

What about Macy's in Smithhaven, or Burtons Bridal in Melville?

I had to go to a few places too so I could get an idea of what I wanted. I ended up buying my dress at Adrienne's in Islip, and they've been great so far. Plus they carry some dresses that not many other shops carry. Or Macy's in the Smithaven Mall if you want to try Demetrios dresses. They were helpful too. Some others are Bridal Reflections in Massapequa or Carle Place, Lillettes in Baldwin, and there's one in Manhasset (can't remember name) that everyone raves about but I've never been.
As far as the horror stories, there's one for every shop. Do a search on the names and go where you're comfortable.

Bridal Reflections in Massapequa is wonderful for bridal gowns. If you go there, see if Gloria is there. She is great!

I bought my dress at Adriennes and have no problems so far. They had alot of nice dresses.
Also, Fantasias in Rocky Point is a great place. Everyone is so nice, and they have a great selection.

Bayshore Bridal was very helpful. They ladies there did everything to make me and my BP very happy. I am also a BP in a friends wedding and we got our dresses there. I had nothing but good experiences everytime I called or went into the shop. They really go out of there way to make people happy.

I highly recommend Elena's in Merrick. Debbie and Tracy are the owners and they are so helpful. It is a little shop and you will get ALOT of personal attention. the only bad news is they are not open on Monday...HTH!!!

Lilettes is a great place (my sister got her gown there. I bought mine at Lynbrook Bridal and although it's not a posh upscale place it's very affordable and they have beautiful dresses. Deal with Stella or Carmela. Two very knowledgable, patient and kind women. Good Luck in the search for your perfect dress!!!

I also looked at Renate's in Lindenhurst, big selection, they don't rush you or pressure you & were very nice.
Lydia's in Amityville also have a big selection....

I just bought my dress at the Wedding Salon of Manhasset. They are all wonderful. I had Jordana and would DEFINITELY reccommend her. No pressure at all and you can try on as many dresses as you want!!!!
