Dress Places - help!

Original post by Katie&Chris2006

Hi girls. As some of you know I've been having a tough time finding a dress. I've been to Bridal SUite in Centereach, Paradise Bridal, and David's Bridal but have not gotten anything. Anyone have any recommendations for dress shops? I've heard some horror stories about some which makes me nervous. It has been really stressing me out that I can't find anything. Any thoughts?

I'm thinking of taking the day off tomorrow to spend the whole day looking. Thanks!

Found my dress at Bridal Reflections in Massapequa! They were very nice there!

I also recommend The Bridal Garden in Bethpage; my friend found her gown there and I got my BM gowns from there! They are awesome there!

My wedding is a long time away, Dec 2007, but my dress is the first thing I wanted to take care of. I recommend Gerri at Lillette's in Baldwin. She picked flattering styles that were exactly my taste. My sister-in-law also got her dress there and was extremely pleased! Gerri will pick suggest a style you never thought you would like and you will look amazing!

go to Lillette's in Baldwin and ask for Christina, she's AWESOME and a fellow LIWedding girl!

I heard great things about Lillette's as well. I have not started to look for gowns either, but someone told me to try them out.

Have check out the internet? It may sound crazy but you can find a dress you love, call a few stores to see if they have it and try it on. If you want to save a bundle just order the dress online after you tried it on at the store. I know its dishonest but you can save soooooo much money, most of the time.

RK Bridal has SUCH a huge selection--but it is a no frills shop and in the city. I went everywhere you did and heard horror stories nad dindt' like anything!!! RK bridal has great service i think. my veil, tiara came in ahead of schedule and they worked wonders to try to get my dress in at under 4 months. b/c htey are such a large warehouse they have that pull and can order things in 4-5 months vs. up to 1 year like smaller shops.

I went to The Wedding Plaza in Floral Park, they are very helpful & down to earth, plus they have a nice selection of gowns and bridesmaids dresses. I also checked out RK bridal which was also very nice. They had a ton of dresses!
