Hi Everyone....After lurking around for a few weeks, I finally decided to join. Everyone on this board seems so helpful and nice.
I have a question that I've been dying to ask someone.
5 years ago, I was engaged to my high school sweetheart. We broke it off afew months after we got engaged. I had already bought my wedding dress - which I still have. At the time, this was my dream dress - and I still love it!
Now I am engaged to the man of my dreams. I already have the dress. Is it bad luck to wear it? Should I tell him that I already have it?
Also, though I love the dress, there is one part of the dress that I no longer love. It has a GORGEOUS cathdral train that has a floral cut-out pattern throughout it. The pattern is beaded along all edges. It's stunning. However, the neckline is rather dated. (in my opinion) it is an off the shoulder dress with approximately 4 inch wide sleeves. Does this sound dated to you girls? I'm not crazy about the sleeves but I see no point in going out and spending a lot of money if i already have the dress. Do you think a good seamstress would be able to change the width of the sleeves to an inch or so? (The sleeves have a beaded lace on them)
THANKS!

Re: Dress Question
welcome, and yes you can wear that dress and once your seamstress makes changes it will be different, right? go for it you love the dress and w/ the money you save you can put it to something else for the wedding.

Re: Dress Question
I will ask your now FH if it's ok with him because in a certain way you bought that dress to married another person and maybe he wouldn't like it (for a guy can be as if inviting your ex to the wedding)... If its ok with him than go for it, the dress is beautiful and is your dream dress.

LMAO, you're entitled to your opinion girl, rock on and guess what? I AGREE with you. I wouldn't wear a ring that FH bought for another chick either (made to compare..not a true story)...to me, it's the same thing.
