I was just wondering if any of you ladies were also still waiting for your dress to come in? Every time I speak with the place I ordered it from I get a different answer on when it should be in. When I ordered they said it had a shipping date of June 20th. It was then supposed to arrive in July, then August, then last week, and still nothing. I keep getting different answers.
I am just worried because you hear stories about it being ordered wrong and I also lost a lot of weight since they measured me. What if they can't take it in that much? Also when would you start panicking and look for a back up dress? I only have 7 weeks left.
********************************************
Update: Yes, that's right...it was never ordered. My step mom lives right by the place and since it would be a 40 minute drive for me to go in myself she went in soon after my original post in September. The owner could not provide any proof that it had been ordered and said she would call the manufacturer the next day when the place was open to find out what was going on. I was then told it would ship September 28th and arrive a few days later.
Yesterday we still did not hear from them so my step mom went back in and the owner told her the order was never placed in the first place! She blamed it on a former employee. So who was answering my e-mails since July saying each time that it was due to come in that following week each time? Why was it not shipped out on the 28th either? I can never get a straight answer.
She said it was shipping overnight yesterday and would be in by tomorrow at the latest and if not I will get a full refund. Ladies I am freaking out. I was so sick from all of this that I couldn't even go into work today. I can't even sleep. Does anyone know of places I can buy a dress off of the rack if this place doesn't pull through? How can a dress be overnighted if the order was never placed to begin with? I know dresses take months to come in. I will be at the one month tomorrow. How could this store do this! I also bought my headpiece, veil, shoes, and earrings to match this dress. I bought them from other places so it's not like I can get my money back from that too and that was hundreds of dollars added together. I am at a loss.

Re: Dress Question
i would call the dress shop and DEMAND a tracking # of some sort or find out exactly what is happening with your dress. you have time---yes--but if they are giving you a run-around , then you should turn up the heat and let the know you want answers

Re: Dress Question
Maybe I should just go in there. It's a bit of a drive, but I feel stuck. It's not like I'm getting a straight answer. A lot of times when I try calling it just rings and rings.

I agree with these girls! especially if they're giving you the runaround. you can start out nice but remind them that they have given you a bunch of different answers and you need the right one NOW! GL

Re: Dress Question
Thanks everyone! You made me feel better. I'm not one to like any kind of confrontation so I am trying to be as nice as possible with this place even though I just get more and more anxious each day. This is a popular vendor on here too. I just don't know why I get so many different answers each month. It just seems so strange.

Re: Dress Question
I ordered mine in March and just got it last week, that would be 3 and a half weeks before my wedding. Don't worry, you are OK!

Re: Dress Question
KEEP PUSHING FOR ANSWERS. Call every day, twice a day until you get the answer that the dress is in. Ask the shop to get you tracking numbers for the shipment that your dress is in, so you know that the manufacturer shipped it.
Your dress should be in for your Nov 11 wedding. That's only 7 weeks away. Alterations can be done quickly, but you don't want them to be rushed, especially since you have lost weight.
Good luck !

Re: Dress Question
Keep calling them until you get an answer, I wouldnt worry too much yet, you will only have about 3 fitting so you dont need 2 months. I started my fitting 1 month before my wedding and had over 10 fittings in that time
So dont stress out-they will get it in and they will get it done. If you are really worried about it keep calling them until they give you some straight information.

Re: Dress Question
Thanks everyone for making me feel better. I'm glad it is possible to get it altered in such a short amount of time. I'm just scared because I have lost over 40 pounds since I was measured and ordered the dress. I also can never get in touch with this place. The phone just rings and they take a week to answer my e-mails. Each time it's a different answer and I have read stories on here where they messed up the order and had to re-order it.

Where did you order your dress from? Either way, just keep calling them!!! If you let it be known that you are going to keep 'annoying' them they will get the info you want to have you stop-worked for me

Re: Dress Question UPDATE: IT WAS NEVER ORDERED!!!!!!
OMG - I am so sorry. I know most shops will sell samples. Try cancelling your 'order' so you can have time to get alterations on a new gown. And of course there is always Davids. Good luck.
